Where do I start I made an appointment to get a cut and highlight after arriving to key west for a three months stay from New York I had never been to this salon and new stylist make me nervous because I have thin hair. I was expecting to pay alot for this service. I walked in for my appointment and immediately the hair stylist was shaking her head as to oh no girl I am not touching your hair.. she continued to insult me personally and refused to do my hair. I even asked for advice on what she would do if she would not highlight it and she told me she didn’t want to be liable… I left crying and after a week I still am very upset at the humiliation she caused me.. this salon should be ashamed of themselves for having a woman such as her work for them.. I wouldn’t even let her cut my dogs hair because of her attitude.. Isn’t your job to make ur clients feel good about themselves or make them leave crying for your lack of empathy…. shameful business

Critical: ProfessionalismI was a walk in customer looking to get a really short haircut. There was no check-in system so it went more of an honor system of who’s next. As a stylist became available they would ask before taking you back what kind of cut you were getting. I replied with a 0 on the sides…both stylist that approached me were pretty rude in their response with I don’t do 0. It would have been nice if they directed me to someone in their shop that does do a 0…but it felt like more of I don’t do that so I can’t be bothered talking to you. They could have been a little more professional and nice with how they handle a customer. After the 2nd stylist was rude I walked out and took my business elsewhere. Kelly Kent Worth Every Cent
While vacationing here in Key West, I was fortunate enough to have Gene accommodate and fit me in to do a cut and color and I would have to say best color and cut ever had. His 32 years experience is truly evident. Candon also pointed out and advised me to avoid using coconut oil in my hair as it will strip the color and had no idea if he hadn’t told me. Overall, the experience was five star and I would highly recommend to anyone in need of getting hair cut or colored to see Gene and he also has a barbers license and gotta say, best cut I’ve ever had. I’m so happy and have had so many compliments. Thanks Gene as you are so talented and made my day.
