In addition to getting color and a cut that I like, the atmosphere of the salon and the people working there are what sets it apart. I feel comfortable and at home because they offer me water or tea, greet me with a smile, share stories and advice, create an environment that is calm and conducive to reading, or I work on my laptop when I need to as well. I went to Kess today for the first time feeling a little bit nervous. My hair is platinum blonde and I’ve had bad experiences with salons in the past. Royston did a phenomenal job and I will definitely be going there from now on. Everyone there is so attentive and clearly has a lot of experience. I was 15 late to my appointment and offered to leave without having my hair dried and Royston said “no we’re gonna take care of you”. They did exactly that. If I could give them more than five stars I would.

This place is such a hidden gem. I called in for a haircut and my first ever color treatment, and I have been so blown away! Royston was an incredible hairstylist as well as being so knowledgable and friendly with all of my dumb questions (I’d never colored my hair before!). I walked away with possibly the only haircut I’ve ever loved in my life–can’t believe it took me 30 years! I’m only ever going to come back here! They are the nicest people and their experience is astounding if you look into it. Any poor review is likely just from a bad person–I can’t imagine having any kind of bad experience here.
