Ok, listen up! I’ve said before that I don’t get into reviews unless I’m very impressed or very frustrated when it comes to businesses around this town. When it comes to getting a haircut I get really picky. I’m 69 years old and I don’t care too much for all these fancy expensive barber shops. For some people I guess it’s ok. I like the old barber shops that have one or two chairs where you walk in and take a good look at the two barbers to see which one has the best haircut himself. When you determine that you immediately go to the other barber for the best haircut. You know he’s the one who gave the other barber the best cut. Well, those days are gone and now you just go to Keizer Barber Shop at 764 Weeks Drive NE. This guy has a small shop with one chair where most people have a garage. If he has a customer pull into his front driveway he simply walks out of the house and greets you at the shops door. Very pleasant man and you can tell right off you’re in good hands. As you look around the shop you’ll soon see this man served his country and is proud of it. As you settle comfortably into the large barber chair you can sense that all focus is on you. Not very common in modern shops. Nobody is in a big hurry and the cut ✂️ is pristine. Will have no need to visit again for a good while. The cut was short like I requested and professional looking. Good conversation too! The guy has lived an interesting life from the sound of it. Handed him a $20 not really expecting any change. Was very surprised to be handed back a good chunk of change. I work for a potato chip company so I invited him out to my car and let him pick out a few bags. I feel bad because I didn’t get his name. I’m real bad with names. I can add this……for the other gentlemen out there around my age, I was impressed with my experience at this Keizer Barber Shop. When I’m impressed it’s a big deal because my feathers aren’t easy to ruffle much less trim neatly. This is why I’ve taken the time to write a review this extensively. Check him out for yourself. You’ll see what I’m talking about. There’s one drawback about this barber, he’s only open three days. Plan your visit around Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday if I remember correctly.
