UPDATED 1/9/2020 SEE BELOW. The Lady didn’t look so welcoming but that was not the reason why I won’t come back. The pictures are pictures of my braids right after they were done. Because the reviews I expected a better job. No sure if the service was cheap or expensive. I paid $25 (20+ 5 dollars charge because I paid with a credit card).

I have been meaning to rate this shop for a while now. Welp now is my time! I tried this shop service once in the past but unfortunately for me the owner Kay unintentionally had some careless and non hard working staff at that time. Honey let me tell you, it showed in my hairstyle which by the way took 12 hours to complete by multiple staff. I am very picky about my hair, so it must be executed right. I only mention this story to say hey it happrns even to the very best stylish who own a shop. However after visiting Kay’s shop again after a couple months desperate for my hair to be completed by someone since my regular stylish had emergency and had to cancel my appointment. Kay and her sister braided my hair this time around and girls let me tell ya’ll they did the best job I have had in years. Kay was patient, listened well to how I wanted my hair braided, and even went out and purchased the beads I wanted on the ends of my braids. We even had good conversation and a quick meal during that time. Instead of always hearing them talk amongst eachother in French or another African decent language the client doesn’t understand, which always makes me think they’re talking about me hahahaah It is quit annoying! I came back for Lemonade braids and they too were done professionally and was very pretty. I just wish she had more staff as trained and braids professional like herself and her sister so I can book sooner appointments or so someone can help walkin’s. VERY BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! That’s a big deal because I am a 30 something who just transitioned from relaxers to natural styles and especially for someone who never got braided styles.In those 2 years, my hair has thickened and grown, and braids are definitely my go to most of the year now.I honestly wouldn’t let anyone else braid my hair.Time: Braids do take time, but its never more than necessary.She also braids my girlfriends hair, who has finer hair. Shows her skills and versatility.She is very busy but she always makes time for me!
