Critical: Professionalism, ValueI have been working with Karishma Beauty Salon since 2017 and for the most part, things have been good. Just recently, I was unfortunate enough to deal with a severe lack of unprofessionalism from Parul Gandhi. While already having been committed to an event and taken off work, I was given a two day notice that the event was cancelled and that pay was only going to be 50%. With everything going on in the world, I do not have the luxury of missing a day of work like that without pay. Every paycheck matters and when working with an employer who isn’t willing to understand that and be sympathetic to the convincing conditions her employees are going through, makes me want to reconsider even working through Parul Gandhi at all. Two days notice is not nearly enough time to get rescheduled for work and act as if nothing happened. As a result, I was only given 50% of pay for that given day, for no reason. No event, nothing.Despite being paid only 30% of what she charges customers and how loyal I’ve been to all of the work she has given me, she was unprofessional and childish to bring up ONE event I could not make and in hence to that, she chose to bring that up years later and pay me 50% of the pay I would have made at work.
