Akiko is awesome. Been going to her for years. She’s amazing at cutting short hair. I like trying different styles and she’s great at that. She’s a very nice person. Love seeing her dogs each time I visit. Definitely recommend!

I have been getting my haircut by Akiko for about 10 years; I followed her from the salon she worked at prior to opening her own spot. She is hands down the absolute best. She is skilled beyond measure, attentive, creative, kind, and efficient. Scheduling is always easy and my time in the chair is like a mini spa day. No one else touches my hair or ever will as long as Akiko is working!

Akiko is a great hair designer, attentive and friendly. The salon is spacious and you’re the only customer, so the service feels more exclusive. Loved meeting Sully and Lungo, such lovely, well behaving dogs.

The best stylist and colorist in D.C. Akiko is a pro and I don’t understand the previous review saying that she’s “not professional”. Was it the service? You can’t beat her skill and knowledge and she’s very professional when setting appointments and payment. Was it the interior? If fun, whimsy, and a unique personal style are seen as unprofessional, then you’re probably better off going to a big corporate hair place. I’m moving out of the area and planning on keeping my hair appointments with Akiko because she is so great.
