Excellent salon and stylish. We have been coming here for many years. We still come here even though we live in another state when we come to visit family and friends. They are always busy. Be sure to schedule an appointment in advance. We had appointment for three people, and I decided to get a haircut while waiting. Jeff was very friendly and able to squeeze me in. They wash your hair before and after the cut at no additional charge or part of the cut, which is great for the price. The price is very reasonable and affordable. Meter parking is available along the street via app for $2 for 2 hours. The meter guy was giving out a ticket when we got there. Be sure to pay for your parking. Highly recommend Kami Salon for all ages and styles.

After a colorist in the city talked me down from getting the color I wanted, was thankful to find this place. Lee and Angela took good care of me and answered my questions. Love the end result – it feels good to look good! Believe it or not, it’s hard to find hair stylists in the city that are confident and comfortable with Asian hair. Will definitely be back.

They fried my hair.. I asked for blonde and I knew that bleaching my hair would cause a damage. However, I felt neglected through out the bleaching process and I thought it was taking way longer than it should. I do want to point out that workers were kind to me but it seemed as if they didn’t think it was a big deal that my hair was literally melting off at the end. My roots are still orange and my hair is just so blotchy and damaged. I’ve cried so much because so much hair kept falling out after shower. I will not recommend going here for a hair bleach unless you want to emotionally destroy yourself.

I decided to shorten my hair after 2 decades. I’d been looking for a skilled hair stylist and no one ever satisfied me the way my “new favorite stylist( JEFF)” done to my hair. We spent almost 5hours to make sure he wouldn’t damage the *already damage hair lol!!

Walked in on a Saturday morning without reservation and waited for 15min. From what I could tell, they had continuous customers but was not crazy busy. Ding was the assistant and was very gentle with washing. Mr Chan cut my hair (regular asian natural), and I loved how efficient he was and it turned out great! It’s really easy to tell when the stylist knows what he/she is doing. Was happily surprised the price didn’t hike up crazy like everything else. Will come back!

Referred by a friend but received rude service and poor haircut. The hairstylist seemed to be in a huge rush, hit my head with comb multiple times and finished my haircut in 15 minutes. Unbalanced transition on the side.

I was disappointed in experience here as a first timer. My hair is long and I requested a layered trim ~2 inches or less mostly to get the dead ends off. I knew that with layers, it would come out shorter than 2 inches in some areas however I feel that the stylist took off way more. He utilized scissors and began trimming in random places to what I presume thin out my thick hair however the end result came out choppy as if my hair got caught in a paper shredder. My hair looks choppy and unfinished. It almost looks as my hair is cut straight across which is not the look I was going for. Fortunately, hair grows however I will not be coming back here to get my hair cut. It is reasonably priced though so recommend it if you’re looking for something to get the job done with a decent outcome.

Jeff is my stylist for couple years. But recently I feel like the whole salon is not as good as before. Maybe lack of staffs ? Maybe he has to take care a lot of things for Mike, the owner. I may think twice to go next time.
