This shop is very professional and clean. The price was very reasonably. She took her time on my hair and made sure I was comfortable while she attended to my hair. She is respectful honest. If I could give a half of a star I definitely would! I asked four days in advance for an 10am appointment and The women agreed over the phone. I came in ON TIME and she had another client in the chair which ok I understand. She didn’t finish that person until almost 1pm ( please note my appointment time above) and she then proceeded to pass me off to another braider… needless to say I will never return.

I did read like one review before I came which said it was a bit expensive, however I was like braids can’t be that expensive but I was wrong! There is no way that I should have paid 225 for box braids! I should have left but I was like no I’ll just pay! Listen! I go to the Africans for speed, quality and reasonable prices! I was in there for hours! My braids are not even small! Box Braids are 150-180 including hair that is Average price for braids! Stop letting them rob us! Force them to go down on there prices! It was 200 but the hair was 25! That’s terrible! I actually listen to one of the ladies compare braids to the prices of a sewins with bundles! Because she was to pay 300 dollars for some micros ! Micros on Average are 180 with the hair! Pure Rubish! I know there is an inflation! But let’s be real!

Pretty braids terrible service. If you wanna wait 2 hours for overpriced service with phone talking, constant breaks, and kids running around this is the place. Don’t even get me started one the 3 people rotating to work on me and the level, lack thereof professionalism.

PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS SHOP❗️❗️❗️❗️I only rate this place a one star because I see that is the only option for the comment box to pop up so to begin with I have been to these people three times the first two times in which I was charge $200 and then $250 when I pay the $250 for the second hairdo I was told that I will be charged 150$ When I came back the third time in which of course I came back the third time because I can afford to do so so this time I’m getting a crochet method in which they charge me $200 nowhere on this planet are people charging $200 for a crochet method not to mention when I come to the shop every time they speak in creole or French the whole time giving poor customer service to their clients giving us either bare minimum conversation or not at all I saw one of the stylist sweep the floor with a big wig brush that you use to brush lace front wig to get braiding hair off of the carpet of her station not to mention you did not honor the fact that I came and spent money and you said you were going to charge me a certain price when I arrived on the third time you did not honor that also They are definitely false advertising I was under the assumption that I was going to African braiding studio these women are definitely Haitian which I am not biased or racist or anything of that nature it’s just the fact false advertising stop pretending to be someone or another business that you’re not promote yourself be you be creative be yourself they do some pretty decent here I’m not going to deny that but customer service is very poor the shop is very disgusting the The stylists are unprofessional

I’ve gone there twice now and every time I go. I always walk out loving my braids. I’ve gotten some kinky twist and also single braids from them. I especially like the kinky twist because it worked well with my hair texture and there the one that recommend me to get the hair style. the price is a bit much but there work is amazing and there very nice. I would go there again for some work on my hair. the boss is a really nice lady nd I’ve also been to both locations.

One thing I Can say is that they do some Good hair but the prices Never seems to be the same. Most of my family come here and stopped either because of the same reason or the poor customer service. My price went from $50 to $60 and when my hair was done it was $80. They definitely know how to run your pockets I watched it myself and honestly there’s a lot of Shops out here that does great hair with respect. No Screaming nor talking about customers if front of other customers. Customers don’t just lie about prices bc they remember what fits their budget But according to them All Customers do is Lie.

All that money they make an the shop look terrible on Lake Ave! Anyways I made an appointment to get my hair done and 5 hours later the slow poke niece was no where done! She kept talking on the phone laughing and making fun little did she know I understood everything she said! I had to cancel other appointments because this lady was so damn slow. In the end my hair came out nice but damn they need to focus more on the clients and less on talking to their man or whoever on the phone. And do something about the shop! As expensive hair service is, the shop shouldn’t be lookin like trash!

I absolutely loved my kinky twist. It lasted 4 months! Yes it’s very pricey but it was worth it. I’d rather come here for QUALITY service than Princess Hair Braiding on Hinchey Road!
