Kelly is amazing! I am transitioning from dying to embracing my gray. Kelly did micro gray highlights to help with the demarcation line and did a fantastic job. She listened to what I wanted and did what I wanted, not what she envisioned it should be. Really appreciate that in a stylist.

Best Salon! Great customer service, friendly environment, and overall amazing experience. Kristi has been coloring and cutting my hair for three years and I always feel great when I leave. Laila has also done multiple up-dos that have looked great! I would recommend this salon to anyone who is looking to get their hair done!

Critical: ProfessionalismI was disappointed that the receptionist and the walk-in stylist I had did not wear masks as it is mandated by law currently. I felt as though they did not care about their customers. I must say that the owner and all clients in the shop wore masks. And to them I say Thank You. Otherwise I love my usual stylist and her amazing talent. Again my own stylist was off and I needed my hair cut right away due to traveling. I know she would have worn a mask. I was disappointed that the receptionist and the walk-in stylist I had did not wear masks as it is mandated by law currently. I felt as though they did not care about their customers. I must say that the owner and all clients in the shop wore masks. And to them I say Thank You. Otherwise I love my usual stylist and her amazing talent. I have been a long-time customer of this salon. I’ve gone as a bridesmaid and for my regular appointments. My regular haircuts and color are by Kristy and she is extremely talented. The staff is always helpful & kind. The salon is extremely clean and well kept. It is the type of place where a new comer becomes a welcomed and appreciated guest very quickly. I’ve not had one bad experience. I would highly recommend!

I booked an appointment last minute and the salon was able to squeeze me in with little to no trouble at my expense. I was set up with Barb and she was fantastic! Friendly and professional. She did an amazing job on my hair! I love the cut and color, she did exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend the salon.

My experience at this salon was FANTASTIC! Laila was super sweet, fast, and made my hair look better than I could have ever thought! She went above and beyond my expectations, I felt great walking out of there! Not only was Laila amazing, but the receptionist Ann kept checking on me to make sure I was okay which made me feel welcome! I would definitely recommend this salon to anybody looking for a high-end salon experience. Keep up the good work ladies!

Ashtyn was great once again! She came in on her day off to style my hair for an event. My hair looked amazing and stayed in and curled all night. I was even able to wear it the next day because it looked perfect after sleeping in it! Hairstyling

I had Laila cut my hair. Overall it was just okay. I kind of felt prejudged being a man; it almost felt like she was rushing me out because she thought I didn’t want the full salon experience. She didn’t shampoo my hair at the start and I wouldn’t have gotten one at the end if I hadn’t asked. She didn’t condition my hair and when I asked for her to style it she said the dreaded g-word: gel! What is this, the early 2000s? I had to hold her hand throughout the whole haircut explaining the quirks of my very straight hair. In the end my hair feels slightly uneven and choppy, but passable (thanks to my specific direction).

Have been going to Kristi at Kalypso for years and recently had a new experience joining the whole wedding party of bride, bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of the groom to have hair and make-up done for my neice’s wedding. It was a fun and efficient use of our time with amazing results for all of us. I admit I was a bit apprehensive never having had a professional make-up session and did not want to look TOO made up. It was amazing, I felt SO good, very natural just a better look than when I do it myself. It was very fast because Kristi has a system down to delegate parts of the process to other stylists while doing the final style herself. Great team work! It was handy walking across the parking lot to grab some muffins and coffee for breakfast at Crystal Cafe. I highly recommend Kalypso salon and “No” I am not a relative; just a very happy client.

While my haircut is nice and it was styled nicely- Kristi seemed like she was either in a hurry or unhappy about something because the entire service felt rough and rushed. A little small talk was okay but overall I was uncomfortable physically and socially. I have an actual headache from the wash. Will not be returning! I see prior reviews that somehow are 5 starts but say protocols for covid weren’t being followed and Kristi also mentioned how the pandemic is not as bad as they’re saying (I don’t see a medical degree diploma on the wall?) so now I’m concerned about how sanitary the place actually is. I wish I would have read reviews more carefully before choosing to support this business during a pandemic.
