After 18 years The Marquette Spa has permanently closed & I’ve moved my massage clients to downtown Marquette. I have 16 years of massage experience and I’m currently working towards my Doctorate in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. I try to incorporate what I’m learning into my practice. My main focus through muscle manipulation is pain relief and improving mobility. Deep tissue, breath work, general relaxation techniques and the Naturopathica Body Treatments are used to decrease discomfort associated with pre & post surgery, pregnancy, athletic performance and daily life stressors. I have had hundreds of massages in my life and the one Megan gave me was among (if not) the top. She used the perfect amount of pressure and was able to find my knots and really work on them. I leave here grateful every time, typically in a fuzzy haze…which is what I want! The Spa is modern, clean, peaceful and designed well. My boyfriend purchased a gift card from her and now she is stating that she is using a different business name and that the gift card is no longer redeemable. Will be taking legal action!!!!!! Very disappointed top to bottom with this place. When I got there, was asked multiple times if I wanted to reschedule because I didn’t have any areas of concern to get worked on. Acted as if it wasn’t ok to be there for simply relaxation purposes. Overpriced for the service I received. Scheduled a 60 minute massage & the masseuse only massaged for about 45-50 minutes. Won’t be going back.
