Kady African Braiding opened its first location in Windcrest, San Antonio, TX in 2013. We are in Richmond TX/Rosenberg (on Thompson highway, FM762). We have another location on Highway 6 (& Bissonnet) and also on Westheimer rd (& Shadow Briar). In San Antonio, we are in Windcrest and at Ingram) and for Fort Worth we are on Brentwood Stair rd (I-30 & I-820). Where Looking Good is Understood is the motto we live by. Our preferred booking hours are 9:30am, 2:30pm and 5:30pm (Sunday through Thursday) and 9:00am Friday and Saturday.

I contacted Kady African Braiding at 10:52am on 12/16/2022 no one answered. I left a message and also sent a text message. I was at work when they attempted to call back, but communicated back and forth through text messaging and confirmed my appointment at 1:29pm for a takedown which was set for 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:36pm attempted to open the door and it was locked. I called the person I scheduled with at 5:37pm she answered and I explained the door is locked she said she’s going to call the braider. She texted me back at 5:55pm and said “Hello please getting back to you shortly” (her exact message). I replied “Okay” at 6:00. At 6:03 she calls me saying the braider is almost home and if I can reschedule for another day with a discount, she also said the braider left because people were canceling and she thought I wasn’t coming. How can you think I wasn’t coming when you didn’t call me before your employee left or the employee didn’t contact me? Makes no sense whatsoever. Now, tell me I wasted almost 30 minutes of my evening when I could have found business elsewhere. This was a huge inconvenience. The fact that I received an email confirming my appointment meant that your employee should have been at work whether I cancel or not. This is not how you run a business. Why is your employee not at work at 5:30? That makes absolutely no sense. If you want to do business with an unreliable company that’s you, but me personally will never contact them or do business. I guess my money or my will for wanting to do business with them wasn’t of value.

The workers in the Rosenberg location can not braid very well & the manager is rude & refused to do my son hair because I asked several questions. The owners where very kind but they should get more professional workers

Showed the style I wanted. Said they could do it. It was not tight at all. It didn’t hold up 24 hours. Had to go somewhere else because I have graduation pictures in two days. I do not recommend them if you’re expecting the style to hold more than a day or two. Loose braiding and added way to much hair to the braids. Causing it to stick up.

They did an amazing job, braids were exactly like the pic I gave them, prices are listed on the wall so no confusions, they take credit or debit cards which is a plus for me, complimentary snacks and drinks were also offered. I would definitely recommend this shop and I will be back. Thanks so much!

I received AMAZING service! My entire experience was timely and efficient, the first lady braiding my hair was kind and started on time and I also had a second woman on my head. I got small knotless boxbraids which would take awhile for one person but I was done in under 6! The staff was amazingly helpful and once the others were finished with their current clients, they would come over and help on my head (I had about 4 different women in my head and I am not mad about it at ALL) they did a good job of providing a warm and formal atmosphere!
