Critical: ProfessionalismI went to Ms. Krishonne on 10/10/2020 to get my hair colored and silk pressed for my upcoming cap and gown pictures. When I arrived, she wasn’t there. When I texted her, she said she would be a few minutes late; I was understanding due to the bad weather that happened the night before, but 20 minutes was a long wait time. Especially since I had to be there for 7 and my drive from home was 40 minutes from the shop. I didn’t get the color I asked for; I asked for burgundy and gold, but walked out with red with a few highlights. However, I didn’t make a big deal about it because at the time I was shown my hair, it was pressed and curled; there was no turning back from there. Besides, I was satisfied with the press and the curls. Before leaving, I asked about how to properly take care of the color and she told me to just make sure I had conditioner and shampoo with moisturizer in it. After telling her the products I used, she said that was fine. My hair has been colored for a month. I washed my hair two weeks after it being dyed and my fingers were full of dye and the color was rinsing out. That has been the case every time I have washed it since then. I never had a permanent color to do that. So, I texted Ms. Krishonne this morning, 11/30/2020 to schedule an appointment for a silk press for my graduation next week. I was going to also use this time to voice my concerns about the color coming out during washing. However, she said she couldn’t give me a price until seeing my hair and the length. However, I found that to be a bit odd considering she just did my hair last month. Once I mentioned that to her, she just said okay. I know I’m not the only customer she has had in the past month, but it would have been nice if she showed a little more interest in someone who spent $250 with her for services. Regardless if that’s a price she’s accustomed to receiving or not; each customer should be treated as valuable and not dollar signs. Long story short, her silk presses are beautiful; however her level of professionalism can be better. If you want someone to just do your hair and you don’t care about the stylist viewing you as a potential returning customer, K Rich is the place to go, but if you’re looking for a stylist to at least remember servicing you in the past 30 days, I wouldn’t recommend her.. (again, this is just my experience with her; others may have had a better experience than I did.)
