As a student in Cambridge, I find the K-oop to be in a convenient location. However, I’ve found the service to be terrible; Kevin, the owner, has a poor temper and little-to-no patience (especially over the phone) and is prone to giving your spot to walk-ins because he seems to forget that he scheduled you! Beware that he may act kind to you if you’re a first timer, but it certainly won’t last. The haircuts are subpar, meaning that if you care about what your hair looks like then you’re better off finding a new barber. Ultimately, I strongly advise against coming here. I have no malicious intent in writing such a negative review, but given my appalling experience I would like to spare others of the same troubles.

Kevin and the Koop Hair styling is a Kendall square landmark. Many customers who come here have been coming here since the days when the shop was in the basement of the COOP book store on main st. The best barbershop in the area! Text/call ahead to make an appointment they could be super busy.

I’m a student in the area and its my second time going there for a haircut. First time I went, I had a great experience! The haircut was good and the barber was nice (why I went back). This time though, my haircut was terrible. The barber kept looking at the TV while cutting my hair and he was very rough with the trimmer. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

5 Stars. Very clean, very nice staff and a great hair cut Walk-ins are welcome and the price was very reasonable. Also plenty of space to socially distance while your waiting for your turn. Barber’s are experienced and are willing to give cut and styling advice if asked for which I always appreciate. Also very easy to get to off the Red Line (Kendall stop). Would recommend!
