I’ve been going to JYP for about 6 years now, and I have always enjoyed my experience. I always feel very pretty when I leave. I recently ventured into color and with her advice and technique my hair is still very healthy feeling. She does a great job. She’ll be honest with you about the health of your hair and what hairstyle/color will work with you.

June is a hair professional who specializes in magic straight perm! During my first pregnancy my hair became really curly like I got a perm. After getting the magic straight perm hair treatment from June I feel like I’m back to my pre-baby life with my nice fine, straight hair again! Got my first hair cut today at JYP, and this is the first time I’m upset with the way my hair turned out. I showed the hair dresser how long I wanted my hair to be, and she said she understood. However, she cut it at least 6” shorter than what I wanted. Same goes with the style of my hair. Totally different from what I had discussed with her. I don’t know if there was language/communication problem but the hair dresser kept saying “ok” when I gave her instructions.

I went this salon to tone down my previous color to dark brown, (I am a regular customer here btw)the stylist who has short yellow hair said she will make my root lighter and apply dark color after that. (She didn’t mention about extra cost ), Also I felt pain on my scalp while I was having color service.(never felt that kind of pain before) she lightened up my root even brighter than previous color and applied dark color again.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!! I don’t live in the area but I’ve been coming here for years and it has never let me down! I come all the way for trims, getting my hair thinned, and straight perms! They are THE BEST for straight perms!! My stylist is June!! She’s great and so funny! HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!
