Juan is the best barber in the Fairbanks or possibly in Alaska. He listens to his clients requests and always delivers. His cuts and blends speak for itself, and if you’re looking to get right before a date, prom, etc. He’s your guy! 5 star experience all around. You’re going to be driving around the block for no reason after your cut with him! He’s that good with the clips and shears!

Was Searching high and low for a barber in Fairbanks until I found Juan at JVS Barbershop. The guy is professional, courteous, prompt and make no mistake a great Barber. He has a positive attitude and a chill vibe. Always full of good spirit and conversation. I explained what I expected from my cut and day one he aced it. He’s up super early to accommodate the every day worker. Customer service is what he is all about. My dad owned 7 barbershops in NYC at one point, so growing up in the environment I know what right looks like. It only gave me 5 stars but he is an easy 10. Thank you Juan

Chill barbershop vibe. Good conversation. Clean fresh cut. I couldn’t get the booking service to work online so I called. It ended up working after a minute or so and booked the appt. Juan called me back pretty quickly after missing my phone call. He double checked my appt was made. When I showed up for the appt. he was ready 15 mins early which was super convenient. I can’t speak on the other barbers but Juan for sure took care of me. 10/10 recommend. Will be coming back again.

JVS is a Barbershop were you can bring you kids. Well mannered and professional barbers and Great Cuts at a reasonable price. As a Barber from the lower 48 we value our customers, I use to work at @JDSTLYES but after two years of over taxing customers is enough is enough and it’s hard to set a fair rate whenever your booth rent is extra high for no logical business reasons besides greed. Juan valued my barbering knowledge and educational experience skills and performance firsthand he respects as a human first. Professionalism at finest. So if anyone who is looking for.. Been getting my haircut here with Johnathan Vaile for several months now, and it’s always a very enjoyable experience. Always very satisfied with the haircuts. They always make sure I’m happy with the services provided. Very reasonable price for the time and effort that I’ve always received. Would gladly pay double the price of the haircut for service I get there. Easy access to making appointments and very straightforward on price point, which makes the process smooth and stress free. Everyone there are very respectful and friendly, Couldn’t ask for a better local barbershop in town!

Una did a fantastic job cutting my hair as a walk in. I take pride on my haircuts, traveling to fairbanks, I was skeptical, I was slowly watching her give the previous person a haircut, and it looked phenomenal, so I trusted her with my hair. She has experience cutting BLACK hair. She is extremely sweet, and gives you the “long term barber” vibe. I’d highly recommend her as your stylist. I got a perfect bald taper, with a perfect blend, no rough unblended lines, and a crispy lineup. 6 out of 5 stars. She went over the top.
