On my very first visit I was lucky enough to get the most perfect fit for a hair stylist for me. Her name is Yvonne, and she barely had to ask any questions, and somehow knew right what to do. I finally got (I am 64) the exact color of my hair that I’ve always been wanting. I then got the best highlight I have ever had – it was so uniform, well-blended and natural looking. She ensured that I was happy with what she was doing all the way through all 3 of my appointments I’ve had so far. At the finish of my very first visit, I knew she was the one for me. She is very friendly, polite, caring, and expiditious. My hair seems much more healthy, and has even grown longer than it usually does. I received many compliments on my hair from many people.

Do not go to Yvonne! This lady messed up my LONG THICK hair so badly! I asked for layers and my hair was already in layers, I just wanted the dead ends off. She sat me down in the chair didn’t even brush my hair and just started chopping. I stopped her and asked her “are you not going to measure my layers” she took it as a joke and was laughing and said I don’t know how they do it in Texas but if you know what your doing you don’t need to measure it. She didn’t even pry my hair in sections. She literally was just chopping away. My hair cut usually takes 45 minutes and Yvonne took 15 minutes. I have wavy/curly hair and normally they have to blow dry it straight after the cut to check if all the layers is even…. Nope not her…. She even told me does your patients question you when you treat them?? HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!! As u can see the two sides just have chopped blobs! She BUTCHERED my hair. And after the service she had the nerve to tell me it’s ok you still have plenty of hair left. You can come back if you don’t like it….. I have never been this livid with a hair cut. She shouldn’t be allowed to hold scissors near anybodys hair.

I used to love this salon but after my last appointment I will not be going there anymore. It was a terrible experience from the beginning to the end. I first arrived only to be told that my stylist had called out.. yet no one called to inform me before hand…. The lady at the front desk offered to take over since I was already there. Once I showed her what I wanted done her entire attitude changed and she seemed very annoyed.. told me it was going to take forever and that she wants to be home for dinner etc.( my appointment was at 9 AM…) I told her that I could go somewhere else if she couldn’t do it. I ended up staying and she started by cutting 3-4 inches off very unevenly I thought it was a rough cut and after she dyed it she would fix it up and put layers in it.. but she never did and when my mom saw my hair afterwards she instantly noticed one side of my hair was at least an inch longer then the other side.. The process of getting my hair dyed was even worse. She did one section at a time and left to help other clients in-between each section. (I understand that she had to because she was filling in for my stylist) but I think it made for uneven color in my hair because it all processed at different times. I have many brown and orange spots. Another thing that i found very unprofessional was when she was checking to see how my hair was processing she pulled on it and said “oh that’s good none of your hair is falling out I thought it was going to” she said it multiple times also while washing my hair. After it was lightened we needed to add toner but she didn’t know anything about toners or colors she had the wrong book of sample colors and when I told her no on certain colors she would roll her eyes and say oh yeah I forgot you want “white white” in a sarcastic tone. I am very thankful for the other stylist working she helped us find the right book with the right toner colors. If it wasn’t for her I would have probably left looking like a pumpkin instead of just spots. As soon as the toner was rinsed out she said I was done and I left with soaking wet uneven hair with orange spots.. not what I expected for paying over $200.

Today was really special as I arrived first thing for a 9am appointment to find that the power was out. During COVID restrictions we were used to adapting but today was unique. Loretta and I decided that as long as we were near the window she could do my monthly cut. With limited resources (a squirt bottle of water) she did and sent me on my way with the best cut ever and only the wind to blow it dry. I love my new natural look and will never blow dry again. Thank you Loretta. Loretta is also a genius with high lights so count on me to be back for that. Happy July 4th week-end.

My stylist is Carrie at Just Friends and she is always genuinely happy to see me come in. She knows exactly what I want and does an amazing job every time. I’d highly recommend coming here for anyone. The other stylists are polite and friendly as well.
