Essence installed Kinky Twists in my hair and she did an awesome job. She provided a good quality of hair and did not braid extremely tight. She was quick and focused on finishing my hair. During the entire appointment, she was very kind and just easy to get along with 🙂 That was my very first time in her chair. Overall, I am pleased with her work and will go back !

I had my hair done at the salon a few days ago and I absolutely LOVE my hair!!! I will definitely be going back to this salon as well as recommending others to go there as well. The salon owner was very professional and treated me like I’ve been getting my hair done for years! Highly Recommend and I like the fact that she’s been working as a hair braider for over 30 YEARS!

My braids looked good when i first got them done, but not even 1 week later my braids began to slip. I paid $90 for braids for a week, I will not be returning. Because they was very rude, very expensive, and the work was amateur level. Honestly, i feel like a stylist on Craigslist could’ve done a lot better for a lot cheaper.

An absolute blessing. The women here are awesome! The provided my god-daughter with do’s and don’ts for maintaining her hair. This was the best her hair ever looked! I felt comfortable enough to leave my god-daughter there with them and I trust no one with kids. They ensured nothing was on the tv that would be offensive for kids. They made sure I was comfortable because it was cold outside. I love it and anyone that needs their hair braided, this is the place.

first, Ms. Pat gave me a price over the phone then when i got there she told me, that she should have charged me more bc i have too much hair and most people come to her bald headed. She charged me 85 for crochet but told me she should have charged me 140. That made me very uncomfortable. I had to hear about how long she has been doing hair, her and her daughter, and how she is also a nurse, her and her daughter. She complained the whole time while braiding my hair saying she doesnt know why i would want crochet, when i have my own hair. I WILL NEVER RETURN THERE. SHE NEEDS TO REALIZE SHE IS NOT THE ONLY BRAIDING SALON IN HAMPTON. The whole experience was obsurd and ridiculous.

Pat did my box braids yesterday and she does not braid tight at all to the point that it was comfortable to lay on; I was able to put it in a ponytail with no problems with feeling tightness at my scalp.
