I had my hair completely messed up here. Bleach was left in my hair for well over an hour and a half and it completely dried my hair and ruined my curls. I requested highlights, starting with brown on top to blend in with my roots and going into purple/light pink/blue highlights (the first two pictures are what I showed her for reference). She blocked out my hair, the colors were completely wrong, and left my roots untouched (the last 2 pictures are how it came out). I was willing to forgive the color mess up, even though I really shouldn’t, but when I realized how fried my hair was I wanted a refund. When my friend (she paid for both of us to get our hair done, her hair was also very fried and in worse condition than mine came out) asked for a refund, she was refused. I wasn’t there for the conversation but it was described as “she was belligerent and unreceptive”. We both felt very bad for the owner (the only one who works there now, who messed up our hair), and she’s clearly having a hard time but I don’t want anyone else spending hundreds of dollars to have their hair messed up and then be refused a refund. PLEASE do not go here

Finding a parking spot that you don’t have to pay for is difficult a little. But Jungle Red it’s amazing. We had Suz. She did both my daughters hair with full balayage and haircuts. And both of my girls look so beautiful. It look very very natural. Just a beautiful job to Suz. Thank you so much again!!!

This place has been a true gem for Minneapolis. From making people look great to supporting local initiatives through art galas and other fundraising efforts, the owner, Suzanne, has been a blessing to our community. LOVE Jungle Red Salon! Everyone there is lovely, friendly, and makes me feel welcome. The salon is clean and the product lines they carry are fantastic. Molly is the BEST colorist! I have never had so many compliments on my hair. Prices are reasonable, easy to get appointments, and the reminders are great. I cannot recommend this salon enough!

Jodi is a great esthetician, super personable and very through. Her great personality made the waxing process feel very fast. Annie was welcoming, giving a tour and introducing me to the Salon’s awesome and responsible philosophy. This was my first visit to Jungle Red, I’ll be back, possibly for a cut or a massage and definitely for my next wax. P.S. Check out the featured artist, even if you don’t need a service, what a great way to support the community!

Leah is the best stylist I have ever had and when it works for my schedule I will drive out of my way just to go to her! She is incredible at both cuts and colors. Jodi is also amazing with eyebrows!! Plus they give you free wine, cant beat that!!!

The hair cut I received was mediocre, kind of like going to great clips, except it took an hour. This place has a sliding scale for pricing of hair cuts based on the experience of the stylist, WHICH IS NOT EXPLAINED ON THEIR WEBSITE. $27 for a men’s hair cut should give you a great cut, from someone not just out of beauty school.
