So i just moved into the area and was looking for a new reliable barber that was close by. I googled barbers in horse heads and this barber along with two others popped up closest to me. So i called the barber shop and asked if they did TIGHT fades and the man says “we do” so i asked the price and it was reasonable. So i came to the shop and it was an extremely dull and plain shop. The presentation was very repelling and and unappealing. Not that it matters as much but it kinda already set the starting tone of my experience there. I walked in and there was only the owner who was sitting in a chair in the back. His initial welcome was very dull and he didn’t even look excited or enthusiastic about servicing his customers. I sat down in the chair told him what i wanted done and it was extremely clear that he didn’t understand what a tight fade was. He also seemed to be in a rush and wasn’t very talkative. So the vibe i got was that he wanted to just hurry and get me out. He talked briefly during the cut but remained very quiet for the majority of it. I tried sparking conversation and he was pretty short with his responses so it seemed he was not interested in engaging his customers..During the cut I asked for a tight fade, skin tight i clarified and he left it the way he originally cut it. I told him i was very picky about my haircut because i don’t get one too often so when i do i want it to last long and look nice (hence the skin tight fade) and he said “no, picky people are people who get haircuts all the time, people who get hair cuts seldomely are not very picky” which lead me to believe why he did such a rushed half done job. My fade was very blotchy and uneven.i had mentioned a line up in the beginning of the cut and he tried finishing without lining up my hair line. I was like”do u use the razor” and he said no and i said “are you going to line it up” and he was like “what do you want me to do?”. My line up was uneven at the end of it all and my fade was screwed. He didn’t pay attention to detail or anything and it was very VERY aggravating…Even my wife was instantly able to notice the uneven job he did. extremely frustrating experience!!! DONT GO THERE!!!
