Critical: QualityI was very excited to try this salon. I had high hopes that this could be my favorite salon. I had asked for a spiral perm, lots of layers, and a trim. The stylist and I consulted about my length, as it was waist length, and agreed on arm pit length. Doris even mentioned that she tends to leave the hair a little longer than the asked length, to be cautious.. Well, she cut my hair to my shoulders and then the perm made my hair above my shoulders. My husband was surprised that she took about a foot off my length! It might have been because she thought I should donate my hair, which is sweet, but I asked for a certain length and she did not follow through at all. To make things worse, my very first perm didn’t come out well either because some strands were spiraled, some strands were straight, and some ends are c shaped. Doris Wiles said she did hair for 13 yrs, but my perm looked nothing like the perms I’ve seen on women done by other salons.. I wish I would’ve said something while I was there but I felt awkward. I also wanted to check over the cut at home. Lesson learned, I won’t be a coward next time someone ruins my hair. When the salons open, I’m going to have to get my hair fixed because my haircut is so bad. I wanted to grow it out more but I can’t live with the embarrassment anymore. My layers are extremely choppy, the front part of my hair was not layered and looks obvious, I got an asymmetrical look that I never asked for, and my perm looks so bad that I now straighten my hair.. So after months of feeling awful, I have decided that I needed to write a review otherwise it would eat at me. Now, my stylist was Doris Wiles and so hopefully the other stylists are more professional. Unfortunately, because this is the worst haircut I’ve ever had, I wouldn’t go back myself out of fear but I took pics and a video of my poor hair, to remind me to be very careful when choosing a salon. Hope no one else goes through this awful experience.I was very excited to try this salon. I had high hopes that this could be my favorite salon. Doris Wiles is awesome. My hair always turns out looking exactly the way I want it. She listens first and that’s always a good thing. Julie is really good too.
