This place is soo ghetto! They try to have an upscale look to them but they’re definitely not. The women who work there are soo disrespectful and unprofessional. They talk abut each other and their clients around other clients. Not cool. I booked an appointment over the phone and did not receive any type of confirmation. First red . I’ve booked plenty of appointments before and always get something. A text, email something. We got nothing for 2 appointments with them. I get to my appointment 5min before and the stylist gets there 15min late! The coworkers kept talking about how late she always is and how she stands up clients all the time. All while I’m sitting there waiting uncomfortable. I was ready to walk out but than she arrived. She washed, cut and styled my hair all while they all gossip about other clients and referenced them demeanor names. Worst experience ever. My daughter also got a hair cut there (I booked for 2) and I noticed once we were home that her hair was different lengths from the front and realized she never face framed to make sure the lengths matched. Our mistake for not calling the stylist out on it. Moral of the story never going back.

Such wonderful people! ❤️ Everyone is so nice and for hair coloring (which can take a while) they made my time there enjoyable. From the moment my appointment started all the way until the end, the lady who did my hair was so nice to me, made me laugh, and kept checking on me to make sure I was doing okay. I came here because I wanted to fix my hair after a bad experience, and I am so happy with how my hair turned out. Everything that was being done to my hair was explained to me & I also loved how the color matched the picture I showed the stylist. It was definitely a new style for me (I asked for a two tone style) & I love it because now I can get creative with my hair! Thank you!!

Made an appointment and I was the last appointment of the day but they didn’t wanna take me because one of their employees car had shut down and the person cutting my hair was supposed to give her jumper cables but they made it seem like because of my long hair there wouldn’t be time to cut and style… mind you all I wanted was a trim. I didn’t even want them to style it. I made that clear. Then the lady apologized as she was doing my hair and told me what had actually happened. One of the ladies was very rude. I would never come here again.

I would definitely recommend this salon! The staff is very nice and they take their time to listen to what you want. I was going in there for my 2 daughters first haircut. I went in there with no appointment and they told me they were booked for the day. He knew I wanted to be seen so he squeezed me in for a 5 o’clock appointment. They were seen by 5pm! The woman that took care of us was name Laura. She was the best! She made sure when she was done that they were satisfied. Everyone in there has really good spirits and make you feel comfortable. Even though. I was the only white one they didn’t treat me like other salons, like you don’t belong there. If I can give them more than 5 stars I would.

Well to start off, this is a very late review from the time I actually attended the salon. I went in about a year ago for my senior prom. I had originally scheduled a makeup appointment and walked in 5 minutes late with tears in my eyes. Before showing up to the salon I had gone to a downtown salon that I had gone many times to get my hair done. My aim was to have a classic 1950’s look and HOLY S**T did they mess up. I literally felt like not attending prom at that point. I went home to try and fix it myself and realized I was late for my appointment at Juan Daniel’s. So I walk in with red eyes and half of my hair pulled out of whatever style the previous salon created and sit down for my appointment. My stylist was an angel. I wish I would have gotten her name (she had black hair and was a little bit of the bigger girls). She looked me over and knew I was upset. She went on to ask what happened to my hair and I calmly tried to explain. She told me that she could fix it for me if I showed her a picture and let her. I was desperate. Well less than a hour later. She does my makeup and fixes my hair. It was literally a miracle. I had never felt so beautiful in my life. I felt like a Hollywood actress. The makeup was exactly what I wanted and the hair was perfection. I hugged her (something I never do with my stylists) and thanked her. She was so sweet throughout the entire thing and completely heard ever request I had. She didn’t even charge me extra for the hair, just for my makeup. I left there and got so many complements on makeup and hair during prom. I will say, if you aren’t good at communicating in Spanish (as I wasn’t so much a year ago) they will give you a bit of a hard time at first but they are amazing. I can never thank that woman enough for saving my prom night. I will definitely go back soon to try out their coloring and cuts.

Staff was pleasant, got my haircut and it was done quick and exactly what I had asked for. Will book them for lowlights and a touch up. Was informed you need a desposit to make an app for color and such because they save that time slot for you, which makes sense. Place is clean, comfortable environment and everything looks tip top, nothing old or cracking. Will go back again for sure!

I’ve been going to Juan Daniel Salon to get my eyebrows done for 2 years now. I tried plenty of places in Chicago for eyebrows but never seemed to find one that was best for me. I had very thin eyebrows and Juan Daniel Salon helped me grow them out into a perfect shape. I am pleased to say that they are great at what they do! The customer service is good but at one point they did have me waiting for a very long time, felt that was rude but I cannot blame that on all the staff.

If I was able to I would rate this a zero star.. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon. I was part of a bridal party. Had the early appointment at 6am. I was the Maid of Honor so I knew exactly what I wanted, my only that but I am a hairstylist as well. I’ve been in the industry for 4 years now. I asked for simple 1950s waves with volume. What did I get a helmet head!!!! She hair sprayed the s@$# out of my hair. When she was spraying she sprayed directly into my face, after I asked if she can refrain from spraying right into my face, I had a bad wax burn on my eye from the previous day what did she do, she sprayed it directly into my face! Who the hell does this? I’m asking you to not spray in my face and she does it on purpose! That’s not how you treat your clients! Then when she was done I was like well this is not what I want on my hair. She comes out with I can’t brush it because the curls will go down. Not only did she not give me a good consultation she didn’t bother me asking anything!!! She didn’t brush my hair out try setting it and molding it into waves! I didn’t ask for a shirt temple curls with a part and stiff hair! I would never recommend this place to anyone. This is what happens when you have unprofessional stylist doing your hair. I am paying for something that I want and will be satisfied with. I honestly could of saved my money and done it myself ( which is what I should of done). I’m glad I didn’t get anything ele done there. Even when I was asking the stylist if she can stop spraying hair spray on my face other stylist that was in front of me gave me the dirtiest look when I was asking for a simple thing. Very hostile environment. Would NEVER return!
