Aisha was WONDERFUL in every way possible! She has amazing patience and clearly loves doing what she does. I will be making this place my go to place for ALL braiding styles! I have nothing but good things to say about Joyce’s Salon. I normally Just cut my hair off in the summer but decided to give braids a chance. This is the 1st time I’ve had my hair professionally done and I absolutely love it! I was treated very nice by staff and patrons. They are very friendly, made sure I was comfortable and they offered refreshments. I definitely will be going back. My new hair is one week old and I have been styling it like crazy.

The owner seems kind and respectful. Even over the phone I knew she had good customer service skills so I was very optimistic going to her shop. The shop is a good atmosphere and her other workers are respectful as well. The owner even allowed me to come walk when there was availability. This is why I give 3 stars. Why not 5? Because her sister told me an $85-$95 hairstyle was going to cost me $200. I showed the owner and her sister my desired style. I can’t post photos on here but it was bone fish braids. Basically I wanted my hair braided into two feedin braids. If I’m going to spend $200 on a style I’ll spend it on box braids. 3 stars for unreasonable pricing. Again love the energy and their work but hopefully they come to terms with fair pricing.

I walked in and seen one of their client’s getting knotless braids and I knew I wanted some so I wanted it just like hers. First they are so fast and nice they get the job done. You’re very comfortable in there too (I was) and IT DID NOT TAKE LONG! At all. 3hours and 30 minutes I believe for KNOTLESS BRAIDS. When I was finished I was so shocked because they are exactly like the pictures. 10/10

I went to Joyce African braiding salon on a Saturday and was out of there in no time at all Very pleased with my hairstyle the salon is the best within a 50 mile radius. It’s worth your time and . Thank you wonderful ladies!! Braids

I must say that they try to accommodate but in all its about the quality in the experience for me. The length of the braid first shown was not the total length of what was given. It is much longer, which I did not want and I told the braider what I wanted before she started. The particular braid size is smaller than what was requested. How the comb was use…the smaller teeth part of the comb was used to part and detangle portions of hair to be braided. This action pulled some of my hair out. The braiding hair that was used is quite rough. But I will say the style looked cute and she was quick, but what it took to receive it was not worth it. Now I am waiting to see how my own hair turns out once the braids are taken out. There were other things that happend that I shrugged off. I would like to get my hair braided in the future but certain things have to improve.
