I hate to leave a negative review of a small business, but I wish I would’ve read the yelp reviews before coming to this place. Was having lunch with a friend next door and decided to pamper ourselves. Terrible decision. The lady doing our nails used the same sanding band on both of us and clearly every customer before us. She pulled nippers out of a drawer that clearly weren’t sanitized or stored correctly. Now a week later my nails are lifting, and since I do my own acrylics I’m taking off the dip powder manicure I received at Joy Nail Salon, and it’s a disgusting MMA mess. Health code violations and not professional grade products. Never again.

They had a lot of variety of colors. The man is not too friendly. More than anything, totally over-priced! For the pedicure I got, it should’ve only costed $25/$30 at most. It was $45. Then to just paint my 6 year old’s tonenails, $12. I got a refill which was $35 which is about right but only 4 days later the paint is peeling off. And these were gel nails so that’s not supposed to happen.

the only reason I’m giving this place two stars is because they do a great job with the nails and their prices are decent. but the man who works here is so UNBELIEVABLY rude. I’ve been a couple of times and have loved the work, but last time I went, I walked out and went somewhere else. We didn’t get greeted properly. Just a stare from the man until we said what service we wanted. After we were done speaking, he gave us serious attitude and rolled his eyes at us because, for some reason, we were suppose to know they only had two workers at the time. Keep in mind, they only had one person getting a service done at that time. And I never have an issue to wait to get my nails done. But after that treatment, I’ll never return. I’d rather pay a little bit more to get my nails done at a place that doesn’t seemed so bothered to get my business. Such a shame.

Joy is my favorite nail salon! They always take their time and do it right. I find gel polish doesn’t always stay well on my nails, but once I started going here they last a full two weeks. I also love the hot wax they use!

I am so sad I have used Joy for a while and have usually been satisfied with my services – their pedicures have more steps than most at the price. But today I walked in over 2 hours before closing (before 5pm Saturday, they close at 7), was not greeted, and when I asked for a gel manicure the 2 owners looked at each other and then said “we’re closed.” I was confused since their Google business listing, door, and hours sign in the window all said they were open til 7. I understand that it’s their prerogative to run their business the way they like, but customer service is super important to me. I gave them my business every couple of weeks and to be sent away arbitrarily is just frustrating. I’d been overdue for new gel for a week and had finally found a chance in my schedule to get there without the kids. When I politely questioned why they were closing early, they just stared at me and didn’t answer. Lost my business.
