Visiting the island, this nail salon was a great find. BUT- one grievance. I made reservations for 3 and when the three of us arrived (ON TIME) there were no employees available- as the shop had been taking walk ins prior to us arriving. Why bother making reservations if they are not going to be honored? To the salons credits they did call in three employees and by 11:15 we were getting feet soaked. We were on a tight baby feeding schedule which is why I had made the rezzie. All that being said- we received two great pedicures and a great manicure too.

This was our first time having mani and pedi done at Joy Nail II in Galveston, TX. I and my husband were very pleased with their services. I had white and pink Ombre for my fingernails and French tip for my toes. It turned out perfectly good looking. The nail technicians for me were Kelly and Helen (I think that were their names). They did an excellent job, so attentive to details that I enjoyed being there very much. My hubby got a pedi and a foot massage. It was Tammy (I believe it was her name) performed callus treatment on his feet with a pleasant soothing experience of total comfort and relaxation in a relaxing and clean environment. Helen also massaged my feet too. Their job is to ensure that every individual leaving their salon looks and feels their very best. I have visited a few top notch franchise nail salons in California where I live but Joy Nail in Galveston owned by Caroline and her husband surpass them all in terms of quality, variety of offered services, cleanliness, friendliness, and nothing beat their location overlooking the ocean view. Their price list may not be the cheapest but the quality of their work would have you last much longer so you would end up saving money. It is totally worth what you pay for. The pictures are my nails after over a week, still intact and look great. Thank you Joy Nail staff for treating us like royals. We definitely come back to Joy Nail whenever we are in town.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! The kindness your staff showed to my Nana went above and beyond. Making sure she was safe getting in/out of the chair and comfortable even with her lack of mobility and air tank. I really appreciated your staff realizing that having her manicure done in the same chair as her pedicure simplified our experience. I didn’t even have to say anything! Our nails turned out amazing and we enjoyed every second of being at your establishment. On top of it all it was incredibly clean which made me feel safe taking my Nana there. I only ever go to modern nails in Galveston. They’ve always given me the best service and nail experience. But, modern nails had an hour wait and I’ve only ever heard good things about joy nails so I went there today. Worst pedicure of my life. They didn’t even exfoliate my feet or put any products whatsoever on my feet (no lotion no oil) and my toenails on my right foot are SQUARE while my left foot nails are round…. The entire experience lasted 20 minutes because they barely do anything with their pedicures. Just put my feet in water for 5 minutes, poorly chopped them, painted them and that was it. My bf mentioned getting boba next store but I said: every nail salons offers drinks with a service. We never got any drinks. I will never be back.

I’m so glad that I decided to get my nails done while visiting Galveston, and as long as he’s here I will always hold off on my nails until I get here. Today I got a dip full set (plus take off) as well as a spa pedicure. The man who did my nails was an easy 10/10 in every aspect. The thickness, shape, design, clean up and customer service were all amazing. He was so patient and kind, which is hard to find nowadays when the technician is also as good as he is. I came in from Arizona and had two broken nails repaired that I didn’t have time to repair before leaving. Tammy took me as a walk-in and repaired my nails. I am very satisfied. Staff was ok but they do not know how to do nails. I asked for medium length and hard square. What I got was long lumpy crater nails. My nails were so bad I immediately asked for them to be taken off as soon as she was done. This made the nail tech angry. I still paid for the service even though what I asked for and what I got were not even close.
