Not sure what the hair stylist was going for but when I said I want layers only in the back I didn’t mean please lop off a chunk from my hair in the front. I need it to look like a drunk took scissors to my hair. Not only that, I had chunks sticking out from the other side too, at least those I could cut off myself, but this I can’t fix!!

Seriously, I cannot stress this enough. If you have “complicated” hair like mine (thick, mixtextured, wirey, full, curly, wavy, course, smooth-my head all in one) granted I just had a smoothing treatment a couple months ago, but still. People with hair like mine know as soon as the stylists hands touch our scalp. Samantha A. is THEE person to go to that not only has the confidence, but mad SKILL. I’m 100% recommending. David came highly recommended to me by a relative several years ago. Prior to seeing David I did not get my hair colored and occasionally got a hair trim at random salons. I started coloring my hair when I started seeing David. My first impression of him was that he was too busy to listen to what my hair goals were and was too heavily booked to get my appointment done in a timely manner. I thought maybe I caught him on a bad day and decided to try him again a few more times. Eventually, I grew tired of it and went elsewhere. About two years after I stopped seeing him I was gifted an appointment with him by said relative for my birthday. I had the same experience again, but found that I liked his salon’s atmosphere more than the one I had changed over to. I have now switched back over and started seeing Samantha. Night and day. She really took the time to listen to me and knew exactly what to do. She did a phenomenal job on my hair. She did not have me waiting around and she is extremely skilled at her craft. I have to say this is probably the happiest I have ever left a salon. My hair really looks the best I have ever seen it. She did a spectacular color, high/low lights, cut and blow dry. Aside from being very skilled, she is also extremely personable and I enjoyed my time with her. I am happy to have found her and intend to be a life-time client as long as she is around. And on a side note, the lady at the front desk, I think her name is Brenda, is awesome. She is always so polite and professional both on the phone and in person. I highly recommend Jon David Salon of Fairfax.

David did an AMAZING job with my hair! I keep getting complements from strangers! It had been so long since I got it done so I was nervous and feeling pretty down about my hair. They were SO kind to me and I felt so comfortable here. Not only did an amazing job, but their customer service is amazing! I didn’t feel rushed and I can’t wait to go back.
