We have made several visits to see Jojo for my autistic son. Haircuts have always been a big sensory issue for him and finding Jojo was a real blessing. She has done so much to make sure he feels comfortable during the process. We went in today for his haircut and I was amazed with how far he has come with Jojo’s help. He went from a boy who was so anxious to even see clippers and now will ask to go see her for a haircut. She is very in tune with his needs and let’s him dim the lights, take breaks when needed and she is so quick to get any hair wiped off if it falls on him. I always enjoy chatting with her during the appoinents. I can tell how much she cares about the community she serves. Thanks Jojo!

Jojo has been great with my son who has sensory issues and had become fearful of haircuts. She made sure he was relaxed before starting the haircut and was able to meet him where he was at. Jojo used humor and patience to ease his anxiety.

Joe Joe was absolutely phenomenal! I have never met a stylist who cares so much about kids. She knew my son has sensory a tooth and she took as much time as we needed. Jo Jo is AMAZING! We had so many bad experiences with hair cuts with my daughter and she was even able to fix up the botched home job I did ! She so patient and the kids have a good time! Yes she has had to cancel appointments but as most of us in the ASD world know things get crazy abd stressful, people get hurt and it can’t be helped and sometimes the appointment takes longer than expected but I am willing to help out a small business owner and support the Neuro-divergent community.

Joann has cut my hair twice in the past, and both times she did a good job. But I’ve tried to schedule with her other times, and either my appointment times are never confirmed, or something comes up on her end where she texted me to reschedule, or she’d be a no-show.

Miss JoJo did what I thought no one could do. She gave my 4 year old autistic daughter a great haircut and trimmed bangs! Her sensory friendly salon is a perfect environment for a relaxing and calm experience. It’s worth every penny for the knowledge that our haircuts won’t cause drama or trauma for my family. I’ll be going there again in the future for all my daughter’s haircuts. And I’ll be getting my haircuts there, too! It’s like having a friend in the business!

My 14-year-old son has Fragile X Syndrome and autism. Giving him a haircut has been a huge struggle so I always just did it myself at home. We took him to JoJo a few months ago for his very first professional haircut. JoJo was amazing with him and he even let her use clippers. She is so patient and caring. I am so grateful we found her, she is a treasure.
