Critical: QualityI went in yesterday for a cut because I had allowed my hair to grow out for the first time in 3 years (I’m in the military and typically need it short). I was explicit in saying I wanted my hair long, and yet Sid was totally disrespectful of this. He used clippers and when asked why he had taken so much off said he “heard military” and just thought that was what I wanted. How about you just listen to what I ask for next time? He also ran scissors along my scalp and thinned my naturally thick hair, which I never asked for and have never had a barber do. Lastly, he ran his clippers down my collar and shaved my back hair into a ridiculous pattern without asking. I went in yesterday for a cut because I had allowed my hair to grow out for the first time in 3 years (I’m in the military and typically need it short). I was explicit in saying I wanted my hair long, and yet Sid was totally disrespectful of this. Positive: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismJohn’s barber shop has always been my go to spot for a quality cut since I first stopped in about 5 years ago now, but most recently I had an experience with the store that propelled me to finally write a review.I just got married Saturday, January 16th, and the day of, I had needed to get myself and some of my groomsmen a haircut. I arranged with a barber at the location to come in early the day of to get clean up’s for 10$ a head, but unfortunately the day of, the barber had an unforeseen family emergency, making him unable to work.I found out that morning when I called at 9 A.M. Sid, a fellow barber, was up to the challenge and on short notice. He had us in and out in just an hour and a half for 6 haircuts.
