I made an appointment for a Keratin with Susan. During my appointment the owner was cursing and yelling throughout the salon because he was upset about something. The keratin treatment itself was fine, but after Susan had me stand up and she cut only the front of my hair for less than two minutes then proceeded to charge me an additional $80 for a haircut that I didn’t ask for or want. I had to run, but called the next day to discuss and ask for a haircut refund. They told me that was a full haircut and was worth the $80 I paid. Truly unbelievable and would not recommend at all!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is not welcoming. They are racist and the work is mediocre. They charge all this money and the hair they do is not worth the price. They don’t like black people being in their shop. They are unprofessional and lies about being inclusive. I have never felt so uncomfortable and will tell everyone about the racist ways of this place. The receptionist is nasty and have rude attitude.

Was very specific about what I wanted when asked. Under cut, hair cut, bleached roots. All one color.. How I end up with highlights? First DYE did not take. Hair was still very clearly a different color, so I sit for color again. And the solution. Highlights. When I told you specifically I didn’t want them. How is this the outcome? I paid for my services, tiped my stylists, both of them and cried to the car. So very very very disappointed. Simple directions not followed. I just don’t understand. Wouldn’t return if you paid me.

Justin for color is absolutely top notch. I’ve been to all the big name salons in the area for years with disappointing results. I decided to give Justin a try and have done a single, highlights, & lowlights. I’m a brunette and usually I’m there to cover my grey, his color always is done to perfection. Looks so natural and really brings my hair to life, I get so many compliments! He is very talented & friendly, plus a bonus is he is always on time. I’ve sent my family members & friends who have snapped him up too, now we are all regulars. He can fix any mistakes and color to perfection. Justin is highly recommended.

Went there to have a single process and highlights. Asked for carmel colors on my brunette hair and showed pictures. I said I would understand if it was not achievable but he said it was. I paid about $345 with shampoo and conditioner included. Owner did my hair. Ended up leaving with bright orange hair. Went back next day for color fix so they could take out the orange. They took 20 minutes or so this time fried my hair and said it is probably the sunlight or lights in my house that made it look orange. I showed my family and friends a picture and they couldn’t believe it. It was orange. I went to another salon in tears plunked down another $300 and they did a color fix and took a lot of time and did a great job. They couldn’t believe how bad the color was and it was also uneven. Everyone urged me to get my money back. I called John Michael salon following week and told them I had to go to another salon and would they please refund my money. They said no that I should have come in a THIRD time. I said no way they were going to touch my hair a third time. Terrible salon. Terrible service.

Justin is my colorist. I have been using him longer than I have ever used anyone else and I will continue using him for my color. There is no one else I would trust. He is absolutely the most talented colorist I have ever used I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for someone who will look at you and suggest the perfect color according to your skin color but will also listen to you and care what you are looking for. I have recommended him to all my friends.
