I would like to leave a review on customer service skills as apparently that is lacking. I called to make an appt with John but he told me he didn’t do blow drying and color anymore but any of his girls could do it if I’d like to go with someone else, I agreed. I asked who he would recommend for my type, texture, length of hair and he said any of them would be fine but that I could go somewhere else if I’d like. I’m not sure how one becomes so arrogant to talk to customers this way. Every stylist has different strengths and skills.

John cuts my hubby and son and the other ladies there are great and they cut mine and my daughters hair. We love John, he’s a great friendly guy and been going to him for years. Highly recommend!!

Im not much for reviews but my experience couldn’t have been any better, I just had to share. I Told John to have fun and go with what he thought would look best. Critical: QualityI went in Wednesday to get a balayage. Let me just say the stylist was very nice and we had good conversation but she did not do what I ask went it came to my hair. I left very disappointed and upset but did received a refund. In my opinion this is a really bad highlight job and not even close to a balayage. The stylist did try to fix it but it didn’t help and I went an hr later they wanted to try a different stylist to fix but at that point I was scared they will mess up more. I’ve been getting my hair cut by John since he opened his doors in 2018. He’s the only name I think of when I think of a great haircut and why I choose him every time. I only allowed one person to cut my hair other than him and that wasn’t by choice since the pandemic forced his doors closed for a bit. It honestly keeps me up at night sometimes cheating on John that one time allowing someone to touch my hair but thankfully he forgave me and accepted me back. His charming personality and dashing good looks only add to the experience but the best part is his soft hands ability to make me so dang handsome. Only downside of getting a haircut by John is that I have to fight off waves of women attempting to take me on a date. If you’re not getting your haircut by John or at his salon, you’re simply wrong.

Prices are very reasonable, very clean, and John will let you know if it’s very busy. Know that there are not many employees here, so there may be a wait time. I’d recommend either calling ahead or going in when you’re not in a hurry. It is walk-ins ONLY; no appointments. My husband and I are VERY particular about how we like out hair cut. (Mine: chop layers, w/ long tapered V; husband: skin fade w/ textured top cut and clean lining/shape). I got my hair cut by Roniesha, and my husband was done by John; they both were very friendly and consistently asked relevant questions as they styled/cut. Will definitely be seeing these two during our time in VA.
