Positive: Professionalism, QualityI have been in John Joseph Salon in Elk River a few times and every time I had a great experience, and my hair cuts have been perfect. Brittany is an awesome professional, and she always does a great job. I highly recommend her! While she’s washing my hair, she gives me a great head massage. It’s relaxing and amazing. I have long curly hair and she straightened it in a way that I enjoyed, which lasted for a couple days. I am always satisfied with my haircut! I have been in John Joseph Salon in Elk River a few times and every time I had a great experience, and my hair cuts have been perfect. Brittany is an awesome professional, and she always does a great job. I highly recommend her! While she’s washing my hair, she gives me a great head massage. It’s relaxing and amazing. Critical: ProfessionalismI’m sorry, but this place was really unprofessional. I asked for them to wash my hair and flat iron it. They said they could do it. When I got there she “washed” my hair and then took me back to her station to proceed straightening my hair. She didn’t detangle my hair. She went through my hair with an Afro pick, (yes, a pick) after that it was time for her to straighten my hair. She didn’t use heat protection spray act all. She straightened a little bit of the back and left. When she came back she said she only had 20 minutes to get through my hair! I couldn’t believe it. She told me to go this place downtown called the Hair Police. I got up and left. Yes, I am a black woman and I thought there would be someone specializing in black hair, Since it is a hair salon and they told me they could straighten my hair. I didn’t judge her ability because she was white. I trusted her and she wasted no time kicking me out of the salon. If you know you couldn’t do my hair why waste my time by washing and blow drying my hair?
