I spent years trying to find a decent barber, going two or three times to the same one then trying a different one. I only wish I had found Matt at John Hancock sooner. He’s exceptional at his craft. He’s also an expert when it comes to beards. Mine is not easy to tame but he has it under control. Not only has he been my go to for a while now, but I now take my 18mo old son to him. He’s so good with him. Keeps him entertained, makes him laugh and makes him feel comfortable and calm. (Not easy to do with a wild toddler) all while giving him a great haircut. 10/10 recommend Matt.

The JHB has moved to their new location at the Founding Fathers Collective. Now when you go in for services, you can grab either a caffeinated beverage from Merchant Coffee or an alcoholic one from the City Tavern iPourIt taps. There is also a gym and a members-only speakeasy here too. Check out the outdoor deck area. And, they are planning to have food trucks onsite periodically. Looks like another new happening place has entered the Prescott scene!

Angel, the barber we got to have, totally saved us!!! My 3 year old finally wanted his hair cut for the first time and I set it up for him and his big brother to do it at the same appointment. (He’s always been afraid to do it but wants to try like bro. I want the poor baby not to have hair in his eyes all day.) Anyway, when we first sat him down my little guy got scared and upset. The person with us initially was at a loss, and said there was only 20 minutes to make this happen, so we got up to wait outside. I was pretty disappointed having driven 30 minutes to do this, but our chance had passed at this point. Well…. Angel must have noticed what happened because he came out so sweet, offered for my son to sit on my lap with a video for the haircut. He took all the pressure off and was patient and gentle. He did an excellent job on top of it!!! My little man got to walk away so proud and happy and feeling and looking like a big boy. We will definitely be calling back to ask for him. So thankful for people that notice the little things and go the extra mile. ❤️
