John is the absolute best! I have had two out-call massages with him and he has arrived perfectly on time with his table,a lovely playlist of music, and the calmest, kindest energy. I asked for a deep-tissue massage for my first massage and a Swedish for my second. John’s knowledge of anatomy and intuitive touch made both wonderful. He was able to work out knots in my back that have been with me for years. Couldn’t be happier I found John and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

I’ve visited John several times now. He’s is an excellent massage therapist, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a quality experience in a relaxed, comfortable space. I have had some sessions with him where I requested focus only on a particular area (upper back and neck). These were skillfully accommodated and the relief from tension was amazing.

After sustaining a Yoga related injury and dealing with associated pain, I started looking online for a massage therapist and John’s profile with perfect reviews quickly caught my eye. I went ahead and booked a session and after my first session, I was so glad that I had found him.

John is genuinely a kind and compassionate person and because of that he has such a wonderful therapeutic touch and presence. He is precise and knows his anatomy well. He was really able to focus the massage and address the areas that needed attention in my body. The day after the massage, I had more range of motion and flexibility. Thank you for being so good at what you do.

I saw John for the first time last week with some specific issues that are chronic and prevent me from taking the long walks I enjoy everyday. He really helped me on all fronts, mobilizing my ankle and easing the pain in my hip, as well as addressing the tightness in my neck and back. He really is so knowledgeable and it’s a relief to know I can get help when I need it. I’m going to be in Oakland on a regular basis, helping with a new grandson, and I’m thrilled to find John who I will see on my trips out here in the future. It’s a bonus that I can walk to his house and that he has a very cozy set up to see clients there.

John is an intuitive and skilled therapist. He starts off each session inquiring about problem spots, and then over the course of the session really takes his time to hone in on those areas. He is professional, courteous, and focused on ensuring that his clients leave in better shape than when they arrived. It’s obvious that he views his clients with care and respect.

I’m a neuromuscular massage therapist who specializes on trigger point therapy and deep tissue. I works for 5 different offices, including 3 chiropractors, constantly applying high pressure with my hands and elbows. Consequently, I’ve developed a painful tightness that affects my neck, shoulders and lower back, especially on my right side (I’m right-handed). I don’t have much free time to get massages myself and I’ve struggled to find a good massage therapist who knows anatomy well and understands exactly what my problem areas are. I can say without a doubt that John has been the only one that was able to greatly reduce the constant pain on my upper body… after just one session! As an example, I had my first massage with John on a Friday morning and had to work that very afternoon. My neck and right shoulder were noticeable less sore thanks to John’s work that morning! It really felt like night and day!

I have been going to John for a few years now. He is excellent with individualizing his message to address your specific needs. He remembers what has worked best for you and then asks what additional concerns or needs you have each time. He creates a very comfortable environment where you can ask questions or makes comments at any time to assure that you are getting exactly what you need. With any aches or pains I have had, he consistently has greatly improved how my body feels.
