Great! Only place I’ve tried in Birmingham, and I don’t think I need to look any further. My usual routine is wash, hair drying, then blower. Both Johanna and Josefina will make your hair look lucious. Flattering iron will be optional, and with their work, you won’t really need it. Marilyn, who washes your hair is delightful. The three of them make a great team. I try to go as often as possible, as they will keep your hair healthy, and long.

Run Away Fast!!! This is the Worst Service Ever!!! 1) No Customers 2) No Customers Service 3) No Respect for the Customer. They’ll Rush you at the Shampoo Bowl. Then Sit for Hours Under the Dryer. I have a Sensitive Scalp, so Too Much Heat will Burn My Scalp. I told her and she wanted to charge me an Extra $15.00 if I get up from the Dryer. Unprofessional and No Communication with the Customers if I’ll had known better I would have went Somewhere Else. Black people!!!! When are we going to learn. The lady below that spoke about the rinse is not lying. Johanna did me like that a few years ago before they stopped doing “rinses” so she say. I specifically said “rinse” and she said she put a rinse in but charged me for permanent color. Straight up robbery. She got a real nasty attitude. She need to watch her mouth. They charge you outlandish prices and then it don’t last. My hair lasted one day. She have her days on whether she is going do your hair right. Don’t get on her bad side cause she’s a nasty one. Black beautiful women, don’t wast your time at these shops. Go some where where your service is a good experience not bad a one. Or do your hair at home!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND ENERGY!!!! RUN TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!! LET’S GO BACK TO OUR ROOTS BEFORE THEY BROUGHT THEIR NO TALKING SMART MOUTH SELVES HERE!!!

Service horrible when it was deemed I wanted a rinse instead of color. Usually they ask jet black, black , pink anything to ensure the color I want they can provide. She was putting in permanent color and since I wanted a rinse, she shampooed it out and charged me 15 and said they don’t do rinses at all at this salon. As she is washing my hair she said she wanted to know if I wanted to continue the services…well what a predicament she put me in. So I continued to get my hair done but I will not recommend this place unless they speak to an fluent English speaking stylist BEFORE services are started!!!

I have been going to Mrs. Josefina about six years now…She is SUPER Awesome as well as her sister Mrs. Johanna doing an amazing job on my hair. They both have such a lovely, warm personality along with magnificent hair talents. I am in love…my hair ALWAYS feels so healthy and bouncy…And my natural hair is growing down my back and SUPER healthy! So….Yes I am in love and would definitely recommend this Dominican hair salon because it is Heaven sent!

Johanna was nice, but her sister tried to up-charge me, and claim I had never gotten a blowout there before. However, I have had regular blowouts from their salon. That was unnecessary and unethical. They don’t have a service menu with prices, so beware they can charge you more depending on how they’re feeling at the time. Purchase some Biosilk Silk Therapy (the same kind they use) and do your hair at home. Mind you, this review could change if I go back and have a better experience because I have had nothing but good experiences until now.
