The lady barber is often quite rude. On another note, I set up an appointment days well in advance and when I arrived, the shop was closed. I called to see if somebody was ‘at least’ still inside. After moving away for college in 2008 and work thereafter, I found myself back home during the COVID-19 Pandemic in June 2020 and needed a haircut BADLY. I drove by Joe D’s Barber on my way to golf and smiled & reminisced that the same ole’ fashioned, yet pleasant, barber shop was not only still there, but had the same name and was up and running shortly after barbers were even allowed to reopen. So I went on their website, saw an available time slot with “Paul D” just a few days ahead, and figured it must be Joe D’s son.Paul D is not only a great guy but a phenomenal barber! He learned from the best, his father, and may even possibly be better than Joe D (Paul – don’t show your father this). Super clean, they followed NYS guidelines (mask required, took my temperature, etc.) and he gave me the best haircut I’ve had since leaving NYC during the pandemic. ALL FOR $10!! This must have been the first $10 haircut I received since, well, from his father back in 2008! Kudos to Paul & staff for an excellent haircut, friendly & polite staff and for continuing his father’s business! I grew up going to Joe D’s Barber twice a month for 15+ years back when Joe D was still working (original owner). After moving away for college in 2008 and work thereafter, I found myself back home during the COVID-19 Pandemic in June 2020 and needed a haircut BADLY.
