Id previously had an appt before finding Joan, and the individual I scheduled with cancelled on me the same day. I was needing my hair braided for my birthday trip and could not get in with anyone else! I came across Joan on google, saw the pricing and immediately contacted her. I told her my situation and she was more than willing to take me as a client even though it t was last minute. She told me what hair and products I needed. She did an amazing job on my hair and I received so many compliments! And the pricing was great and not too costly for what i wanted length and style included . Didn’t have to show up with hair blow dried etc. very quick and efficient along with great conversation! She saved my bday trip (hair wise ☺️) I definitely recommend her

I had an appt and Joan seemed nice. I went off reviews and should’ve known the $80 price was too good to be true. However, I was late as the hair she suggested wasn’t in stock. I texted her to let her know ans she never responded. I updated her thay o was going ti another beauty supply. She still never responded. Long story short, I arrived and she was not friendly, very combative, unprofessional. I apologized for my being late and she continued to rant. I offered to come at another date and apologized again. I’d sent her pictures of my hair braided and she told me ” Goggle it, you tube it” you donr know how to do that? I was holding my breath not to go off. She told me visit her Instagram and I wish I’d found her ig before wasting my gas. Her work is hideous from the pictures. Not neat, you can see the white residue from product, the parting is awful. Honestly, customer service and being nice is priority and then the work. I showed her pictures via Google and she was talking over me about the size being small or medium. I’d had enough. She told the size I wanted would take double time which would be 4-6 hours but she could do it. I wasn’t willing to spend that many hours putting up with her demeanor or the smell of her home. I kindly left $40 on her table for my being late and thanked her and walked out. Horrible impression. I will be flying back to NY to get my hair braided.
