My second time coming here wasn’t the best. I have a sensitive scalp, heat damage, and split ends. She brushed through my thick and brittle curly hair, while it was dry, with a brush.. I’m usually not one to complain but she was pulling so hard when she was brushing, almost like she was trying to reel in a fish. My hair felt quite thin in some areas and my head and neck hurt for awhile after that lol. I don’t know if she was in a hurry or if she was intimidated by how much hair I have, but she rushed everything. I left feeling like I got half of what I wanted and paid for with more damage than what I already had. I don’t remember the stylists’ name nor would i post it , yes I live in Sturgis, Michigan and went to this salon. I purposely didn’t use my name. 🙂

I went twice and the lady was never available to help me with a haircut. She first told me to arrive the next day at 9 am and arrive that day at that time and she didn’t attend to me either. Ñ That is why I am going to leave 1 star because she is not willing to attend.

Finally got my hair done at JMK salon! I find that most stylists have trouble translating my vision into a reality. My experience has been that hair stylists are quick to recommend a generic cut or color and not tailor their advice around my specific needs. Angie not only took the time to explore what I wanted but helped to personalize it. She was friendly, consultative and incredibly professional. Most importantly, I am so happy with results and feel relieved that I can walk in with no vision and trust that I will get more than expected. I can’t wait to come back!
