In my opinion JL Beautique is the best spot in town. We followed them from their prior location and my wife and girls have been going for years. Alyssa the owner and her team do an amazing job and alway takes care of us. The new salon is beautiful inside and they are reasonably priced. Highly recommend! Critical: QualityPretty upset after leaving. I took a picture in of a haircut I wanted. My hair was all the way down my back so this cut was still taking off a decent amount of hair. The stylist said that was barely anything off so I said a little shorter was ok. She touched a spot on my back of where my hair would fall and I was ok with that and she said she would do layers. Well when she was done I just had to keep it together but my hair was just grazing my shoulders. I mentioned this was exactly what I wanted to avoid while she began because it’s more work and styling for me because of my hair texture and thickness. The way she layered it also made it seem overly thick and bulky right around the bottom and all around my face. It makes me feel old to be honest. This Salon is new to the area but I personally know the person who owes and runs this beautiful place. The staff there are very down to earth people and they do a good job. Inside its very warming and so comfy makes you feel right at home. They have hair products to choose from and hair supplies & brushes among snacks to choose from. I know you will love this place because it’s a down to earth environment.

Last min trim appt for my daughter…weren’t easy to get ahold of on the phone (which is kinda expected when it’s a smaller town) so I messaged them and they did respond fairly quickly… But never put the appt in the book. Thankfully, esp with being a smaller town (and covid), they were still able to fit us in as opposed to no one being there late afternoon on a Friday (also common in smaller towns). Overall though, very nice, clean (and practiced social distancing etc), my daughter loved the trim (which isn’t easy with a 17-yr old haha), and price was completely reasonable.

This is such a fabulous place to get your hair done! The owner has been doing my family’s hair for years. I am never disappointed when I leave. Everyone is friendly and the prices are reasonable.

I do not usually leave bad reviews but my poor husband went there for a haircut/ beard trim last night and had a horrible experience. He is so upset because they cut most of his beard off, which he has been growing for 2 years. His haircut which he usually styles is uneven and so short pomade does not even work. Extremely disappointed and will never recommend to anyone else.
