Hey internet!! I’ve gone to Jimmy’s Nails for about a year now and this was by far the worst experience. Today, I showed up to Jimmy’s to get a new set of fall acrylic nails. One of the women sat me down and started to remove my old acrylics, but by the last one she got frustrated and bent the nail and just cut the middle. Because of this, I had a line cut out of my actual nail. Instead of checking on me, she looked around to make sure no one saw what happened and just glued a new nail on top and moved on. At this point I was in shock and just moved on with the situation. Then, she started painting my first nail and it did not look like the picture I showed her at all. I kindly asked her to make the design smaller and more spread out, which she refused to do. She told me that she was just doing what the picture was and she wasn’t going to change it. I’m not a confrontational person, so I sat there as she finished the rest of my nails. I ended up going home with nails I hate and one that’s probably going to get infected. 0/10 would not recommend.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityThis place absolutely sucks. Jade did my nails and she absolutely didn’t give any effort at all. She applied the acrylic powder and didn’t even put my hands under the uv light. Then she was filing my nails and I pointed out that one of my nails was fully crooked, after I pointed it out she said that she would fix it. By “fixing” it she swiped the buffer on it once and called it a day. She also applied the acrylic so far from my nail bed that by the time I went home it already looked like I needed a fill. The shape of my nails was disgusting and so uneven. Some were wide, some were crooked and not symmetrical. She applied the polish terribly as well, with no precision. While I appreciate how friendly the staff is, sometimes I feel like my service is rushed and my nails come out sloppy, with bubbles, and/or not fully covered with polish. Sometimes they also come out uneven and blotchy because one of the staff put too many layers of color on a nail. I drive 20 minutes to come all the way to westwood so I hate feeling like the service I ask for is being rushed and they’re just trying to get me out the door as fast as possible. Most times my nails have come out well but the last view times it feels like it’s been rushed :/

I went here because it had 5 five stars. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I got the deluxe pedicure, and the massage was good. However, the pedicurist left my toe nails crooked. On top of that, my manicure didn’t even last 24 hours. I got it done on Wednesday, and on Thursday morning at 5am, my nails were chipped already. It’s even more upsetting because I paid more for this color. Not only did my nails chip, I asked the manicurist to make my nails super straight on the sides, he left them wide… I paid 80 dollars for a basic gel manicure and spa pedicure. Usually, I have no problem in doing so, but I was left extremely disappointed, especially for a first time customer. I hate complaining, and I never leave reviews… But this was just too much.
