I called fir appointment, and I was told to come at 2pm. Showed up few minutes early to check in. Told the young man that I have appointment for 2 pm. He told the other lady that was there. Both of them had no idea of the appointment. Lady told me they are busy and to come back later at 3 pm. At first I did not understand her, I told her to repeat. And then she started screaming on top of her lungs few minutes. She was very angry. I did not want to give her my business after the tantrum she was having. Going to make sure none of my friends and neighbors go to this location as I’m just one minute drive away from this location. Recommending anger management classes fir the horrible women.

I have been a patron of the Des Plaines location for about 10 years. The atmosphere and ambience are very soothing to me. (some “foot-spa” places have too much incense, have the beds too close together, or just aren’t as clean. Reflexology is their specialty and the Jia Special is my go to selection. You start with a hot, herbal foot soak, while your hands and arms are massaged. I love that I don’t have to get undressed! -My family knows this is a beloved gift certificate for me !

Disappointing experience. I have been going there for years and the last few times have been really disappointing. Today during my supposed relaxing massage the masseuse kept stopping to answer front desk questions and speak to incoming customers and then she continued to talk loudly to others the entire time she was providing service. Unfortunately, since Covid it has not been the same. Also in light of the situation I tipped her 10.00 which was low for me to reflect the service. She never even thanked me. STOP TALKING Jia staff! When you do so it ruins the customer experience.

Wow, what an unexpected treat. Did a 90 min jai special with hot stone and foot cupping and was blown away by the services. While the atmosphere was not spa like and I may be snobby in my expectations but once the service got going I could have cared less. He really worked out kinks and stretched and pampered and I felt amazing and at $75 felt no guilt at indulging myself.

Critical: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThis was the second time I went there, the first time, I had no issues. This last time I am so upset. The woman who did my massage was so rough, even after I had asked her to ease up. She also thought I was I contortionist. She kept trying to bend my legs and feet. I had to politely tell her I have plates and screws in my one foot, it won’t bend that way, please move on. Well she kept trying. As she was massaging my back, heaven’s, I thought she was going to rip the skin right off. I am more sore today than I was yesterday, towards the end of my back massage she placed my hands behind my back and looped her hands between them and literally lifted me off the table and my entire back cracked and I stated very loudly DON’T DO THAT!And she did it again. As she was attempting to give me a head massage, she hit a nerve which triggered a migraine for me, and I just sat up and said this is done. I stated to her that I politely asked her to ease up on her technique, lifting me off the table as if I were a contortionist and now triggering a migraine is more than enough. Most REAL spas charge about $100 -$150 or MORE for these services.Yes, not all of the staff speak great English but they do amazing service. I chose to use Google translate on my phone at times and EVERYONE WAS SO SWEET!SO PLEASE read the negative reviews with a grain of salt. These are nice people providing great service for a LOW PRICE! Prices are very affordable. The woman who massaged me did a great job but in the beginning I could tell she was on her phone. Only massaged my foot with one hand (for a few minutes) and I felt the phone vibrate on the table. Your eyes are covered but I could feel her massaging me, then it stopped for a few seconds, then started again but felt as if it lightened up and stopped again. When I went to pay, I gave her a tip and she moved the menu out of the way and showed me a sign taped to the counter of what I should tip and said something I couldn’t understand with an attitude. I felt pressured to tip more. I ended up tipping more but thought that was a bit unprofessional. Tipping is usually optional. Based on their tiers, my tip was suggested to be 30% of my total. I would go back but hope that I wouldn’t get talked down to about a tip again.
