I never do these because I’m a grown adult who doesn’t starve for attention but I need to vent. I’ve been going here for about 2 years then I moved to Bergen county. I needed a hair cut and made an appointment online since they were open on Sunday. I usually went to Harold he does an awesome job but he wasn’t in. I was setup with someone who is a few chairs down from Harold. The haircut was good because honestly if you can do a half good haircut you shouldn’t cut hair. I mentioned I wanted a full straight edge shave and brows because I’m a 36 year old man and facial hair is so 2014. I had to mention multiple times and he forgot. He started the shave and lined up the beard which I was pretty clear I wanted the shave so I said it again. He then used the shaver to clean it up and I had to remind him AGAIN about the brows. At the end I only had $100 bill so I had to go next door for change. The hair cut was $40(which includes the beard that I shouldn’t have to pay for but I digress) and wanted leave $50 and he couldn’t break the $20. How are you running a cash business and can’t break a 20? I usually give Harold a $20 tip since my beard is heavy and a pain to do. I gave the guy a $20 tip (which is way to generous) just to get out. I’m currently going a far the reputable neighborhood to a shop to properly shave my face. Great job (sarcasm)

I cannot speak for the entire company of barbers at this establishment in Dover. I can say that the usual group is in place every time I arrive, and all seem very friendly and professional, with the exception of the one barber that I have always scheduled my appointments.

My personal barber was vacationing in PR and I was in desperate need of a haircut so I tried this barbershop. I’m NOT even a person that rights reviews, but my experience here has caused me to do just that. My experience here at the establishment was indeed second to none. I made an appt w/ Terrell, I have been loyal to my barber for over 3 decades. You can only imagine how nervous I was. I was so happy with the final result. Not only was my haircut on point, but I also think I gained a new friend. I have already recommended 3 people who complimented me on my haircut. I MOST DEFINITELY told them to make their appt with Terrell. I don’t think my barber is going to like that very much because I think I found a new home.

Dont go to Jersey’s Finest. On 8/28 I had Terrell trim my beard and hair. I told him I hadn’t had a cut for 16 months. He did a terrible job on my hair. I told him again to just take 1/4 inch off. He cut at least 2.5 to 3 inches from the back. I came in with a 3 inch ponytail, and left with no ponytail. Thinking back, he must have known he screwed up because he didn’t show me the back of my head with a mirror. Oh, their owner/management don’t care either. I sent 2 emails with no responses.

I arrived 20 mins early for my appointment. There were people waiting, but I didn’t care because I MADE AN APPOINTMENT. When Harold (who I made the appointment with) was done with his client he told another young man to get in his chair. I asked how long will the wait be. Harold said 20 mins I said ok, but I made a 12 o’clock appointment because we have things to do. My son was going on his first date. I scheduled with enough time for his cut, and get him to his date on time. However, Harold decided to change my appointment to Alex. NOW nothing against Alex, but if I wanted an appointment with him i would have booked with him. When I ask Harold if he changed my appointment to Alex (in the computer, I received an updated appointment confirmation) he said yes. This is what upset me. So the cut your about to do will be much longer then the 20 mins you told me. He then starts to talk to the guy across him in Spanish. This guy then tells me Harold is running behind and things like this happen. I was 100% turned off from the place but my son needed a haircut, and it was a Saturday. Where else was I going to go to and get a proper cut for my boy??? Alex did the cut, my son loved it &he was very professional . The other two I wouldn’t give them my hard earned money. Have consideration for peoples time! Appointments come before walk ins. If you’re just going to take walk-ins, get rid of the silly appointment system that you’re not honoring ANYWAY. I understand taking care of your regulars, but you’ll never make new ones showing favoritism.

This review comes about 11 yrs late, but I wanted to leave my last barber shop a good review. I went bald, and I started shaving everything off, but back in the day I used to come in on Friday afternoons after work for a high fade from Elvis. Not sure if he still works there, but I’ve had my hair cut by other staff, and never a single complaint. Always polite, professional, and courteous. If I didn’t lose my hair, I’d be back every Friday

I was looking for a new barbershop when I came across this place. Walked in without an appointment a Barber (Terrell Cottman) greeted me and ended up giving me one of the cleanest haircuts I’ve ever gotten. Hands down, this is a go to place to get a hair cut.

I walked in today and sat down to wait for a haircut for my 9 year old son. No one greeted me or said anything to me when we walked in. There was 3 barbers and only 2 were cutting hair and there was no one else waiting for a haircut but us. We sat there for about 20 minutes before someone finally asked if we had an appointment. I informed them that I didn’t and he said the earliest they could get me in was in 2hrs. Again I looked around and no one else was there waiting and now 2 barbers had open chairs….. Big thumbs down!

I’m not one to judge a place by the service of one person but somebody **** my **** UPPP so badly today. I gave clear instructions on what to do so when he went shorter i told him and got a rude response back. Don’t count this place out tho i’m sure there’s some fire barbers here but may god bless whoever gets the man i got unless ur hair is under 2 inches. I’m mentally preparing for how badly i’m going to get flamed tomorrow. Real talk. Might need therapy after this cut because good lord it is horrific.
