At Jersey Curl Salon all our stylists are Curly Hair Specialists. We work with all curl textures from the slightest wave to the tightest coily curl. We also specialize in color, pintura (hand painted highlights), color corrections, fillers and glazes. Our goal is to give our clients the best customized shape for your curls. Our curlycuts are done by cutting your hair dry curl by curl. We will teach you tips, tricks and product knowledge on how to manage your curls the best way. I still so upset about my haircut that i dont know where to start. My hair is so un even, it look like my two yrs old did my haircut. If you like your curls don’t go there. I will post some before and after picture bc i can’t explain how bad it was. I have this few long hair that i dont even understand. I specifically ask for volume only. 🙁 I think the girl hated me or something bc i don’t understand.

I had brought my daughter into the salon because the business specializes in very curly hair. They were very friendly and patient. My daughter was the client and she needed a lot of care and talent in trimming back the excess hair and shaping the final details. It wasn’t cheap at 120 dollars for the trim and the wash. Plus having the hair products soaked into her hair but I believe it was worth the time and the effort needed to do the job properly. Her hair was worked on for 1 1/2 hours. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has very curly hair and has difficulty managing it.

Got my daughters hair cut here on kids day. Staff is super sweet and helpful but unfortunately my daughters hair came out super uneven. I think this was due to them pulling the hair down too much as they cut it rather than cutting it in its natural state to not disturb the curl pattern. When I mentioned it looked uneven I was told the hair will settle into its cut. After some time the cut somehow got even worse so I called to see if they could fix it. It was about 3-4 weeks and they said it was too long of a wait so I would have to pay again. Very unfortunate as this cut is so uneven I feel they should have done something. Here is a picture of the haircut. I ended to fixing it myself and having to cut a lot of hair to even it out which is unfortunate since her hair was so long! I won’t be returning again. I don’t care what the technicality is, if you cut hair that badly you should fix it. Yes hair grows in 3 weeks but it grows at a steady pace and won’t magically grow this uneven in 3 weeks. That makes no sense! Her hair has always been even until this cut! It does not grow unevenly. If I’m going to even her hair out myself why am I paying a professional stylist when I can cut it better? Terrible.

I really love my new haircut! My only complaint is that they used too much gel in my hair. But that is my own fault for not telling them that I don’t like the feeling of gel in my hair. Other than that, I loved everything about this salon. They understood my hair and knew the best way to cut it. I will definitely return when it time a my next cut.

Very dirty salon with no talent or passion! I waited 30 minutes after my appointment time even though I arrived early. When I sat in the chair there was no consultation. The haircut was okay but not worth $60. But the styling was HORRIBLE. The stylist had 3 clients at the same time and no time managment skill to handle it. Overall a horrible experience. The salon itself was DIRTY. She used a wet rag to wipe up the hair dye from the second client she was working on before I sat and did a bad job because my $50 pants were COVERED IN BLEACH!!! Bad bad bad. Read the reviews!!!!

Been going here for a couple of years since I started repairing my curls from heat damage. I never have a preference for stylists or locations because truly everyone is so talented and do amazing work. I’ve had my first cut with Vida and my last two cuts with Naeemah. The entire staff is professional and friendly and stylists especially are very honest and knowledgeable. Everyone teaches you how to style and maintain your hair to get the most out of your curls and it’s always a professional and pleasant experience. My recent cut and color by Naeemah was perfect simply because she understood exactly the vision I had for my cut and color. Highly recommend this salon and I look forward to my follow up.

I had a really positive experience coming here. I was a bit nervous coming to a new salon and desiring a bold new color. The women in the salon were very sweet and welcoming and made me feel safe enough to trust them with my hair. I came in with really grown out blonde highlights and left with full head of vibrant red with no bleach used! Naeemah was especially helpful with deciding on a perfect color and using the reference pictures I had and helping me bring my vision into reality! It did initially fade quite a bit, but Naeemah was very accommodating and considerate. She recolored my hair as well as giving me new specific tips on taking care of newly colored hair. It came out looking great again the second time around, with lasting color. I will definitely be back for any touch ups needed as time goes on!

I’m very insecure about my hair. I have been trying to grow it out but always felt my locks were lacking. I called Jersey Curl Salon after seeing the great results from my sister’s hair. The salon doesn’t have a parking lot so you will need to seek out a space through meter or residential parking. The salon was clean and there is a water cooler and coffee machine in the waiting area for guests. I was seen right away with Wendy, a sweetheart. All clients are requested to show up with hair completely dry and detangled and left as is, no clips, braids, no products or anything that will take away from how your hair naturally sits. Wendy took the time to explain why my hair was the way it was and wanted to make sure I felt secure with any cuts she would need to make with my hair. The hair is cut while dry and then washed. The staff give you details every step of the way. After under going washing and styling, you are asked to sit in the dryer for about an hour. Overall I had a great experience. My hair got its curl back and I learned how to keep it healthy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a curl upkeep.
