I went to Jeffrey LaMorte today to get my roots colored and possible highlights. The girl on the phone asked if i wanted a haircut, i said no. She asked if i wanted my hair dried, i asked how much??? She said $30.00, i said definitely not. So i weni got to the salon this morning and the beautician said, u want your roots, cut and blowdry. I said no. I want my roots and possible higher. She tells me that she wont have time for the highlights, because she’s fully booked. Then she decides that she can do highlights, but only on top. She kept telling me how she didn’t have any extra time because she was booked. She did my hair, i towel dried it as much as i could and noticed a my roots were white in the front. I went to find her and tell her, she says that she’ll try to fix it but doesn’t have much time. She did it again in the front. I couldn’t see if the color took because my hair was really wet. So as i freeze my way home , i blow dried it and the roots are still not completely covered. I tried to support local, but im disgusted beyond belief. I spent a lot of money and a bad color job from a stylist that only cared about making money and not the quality of her work and kept telling me how busy she was. Im so disgusted.

I’ve been here twice and the service was always friendly and the stylists did a good job. However, I called twice about a month ago but no one answered so I left a voicemail for them to call me back to schedule another appointment and never heard back – ended up going to a different salon and probably won’t go back here.

Positive: ValueMakayla was just amazing. The salon was very safe and they took my temperature and required me to wear a mask the entire time which was fine! My hair turned out so natural and I left feeling so much better and that much more beautiful! Critical: ProfessionalismWhat a joke. I had an appointment scheduled a week and a half out with the salon in lemont. I was so looking forward to the appointment. With covid and a new baby it’s been nearly 2 and a half years since I had a proper haircut. Well when I showed up I was told “your stylist had an emergency. There’s nothing we can do for you. We can see you tomorrow.” no phone call, no option to wait for the next available stylist. Uhm no thanks. Were they going to watch my kids? I scheduled my cut for a day when I had a sitter. I get mani/pedis and my brows done here. The staff is extremely pleasant and professional and the entire salon is very clean and comfortable. Cost for services is reasonable. Highly recommended.

Made an appointment with Dawn for a hair cut once the salons reopened. First time customer and I will go back for highlights and another cut. I was unable to go to my regular salon and stylist as the kept postponing the opening. I’ve been working through this whole ordeal and I needed a cut. I’m also willing to give this new stylist a chance to win me as a client.
