Critical: Professionalism, ValueI am a loyal JC Penney shopper and received a coupon for a salon service (cut and single color process for $50). I made an appointment over the phone and told them I had a coupon. When I arrived at the salon, the stylist was super friendly and seemed to know exactly what I wanted for a haircut, but was very vague when I asked about the color for the coupon. I pressed the issue before we got started, and she went to ask her manager. The manager was very rude and belittling and tried to tell me that a single color process was a root touch up only. We literally argued over it. I pulled out my phone and googled it. She said, “I’ve been in the hair business for 20 years… I know what a single color process is!” I cancelled my appt right then and there and will never go back to that salon, even though I live in Moreno Valley. I happened to be going to another mall that day that had a JCP salon and I stopped and asked what the coupon I had entailed without mentioning my previous experience. She said it was a haircut with one color from root to ends! Exactly what a single color process should be.
