Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueIf I could give a negative star rating I would. To start off I called and scheduled in advance a haircut & nail polishing for my 4 year old’s birthday pampering. Upon arrival, there already seemed to be a lack of communication between stylists & cashier. They were going back & forth who was on “the books” and who wasn’t. Finally got my daughter to her chair , the stylist finally came in & I instructed her we just wanted a trim. I asked if she’d be polishing my daughters nails as well. Confused, she asked the cashier if she had time to polish as well. I was then told I would have had to schedule that with the haircut not add it at the time of service. EXACTLY, I called in advance! Anywho, as she was finishing up the haircut, she was checking the length in the front, it was CLEARLY uneven. She tried parting her hair in a different way, still uneven, proceeded to tell me it was uneven cause she had a side part..once in a center part the unevenness was even more obvious. So what does she do? CHOP! There was a huge chunk of hair chopped off in the front, she then was about to start chopping the back to even it out. I immediately asked her to stop. I stated I was leaving to go get it fixed elsewhere. The manager went after me & offered to fix it. Against my better judgment I agreed. We left with it still uneven & chopped. To add to my disappointment there were customers & stylists having incredibly inappropriate x rated conversations. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Do NOT go here!!!!!! My sister got her hair done here and the stylist didn’t do what she wanted at all. She gave her a picture of what she wanted and the lady took one look at it and said she was just gonna give her a trim. She paid 35 dollars for just a trim and bangs that my sister did not even want. She even said if she messed my sisters hair she could just shave her head. Never coming back here again.

This is the third time I get disappointed by JCPENNEY hair salon, I booked my appointment for 10:am. Showed up early to be courteous, they notify me my stylist will be 30 minutes late. So I wait, 30 minutes turns into an hour. I asked if someone else can cut my hair, nope. Very unprofessional, smh I don’t know why I keep going back. Shampoo & conditioning, Haircut

haven’t seen a salon in over 10 years didn’t know what to do with my hair but knew i wanted to get bangs and some layers, was seen by Alice and she was amazing, did everything perfect and i love it so so much, did exactly what i wanted for my hair ❤️

I came to the mall hoping to get a trim, since I hadn’t had one since covid began. They immediately had a spot for me and fixed up my hair wonderfully! They also did my eyebrows, leaving them perfect. The salon was clean, lively, and very well managed. The stylist listened to my description of what I wanted and offered her own advice, and we went from there. I couldn’t be more satisfied. I would come back here if I’m in the area. I highly recommend this place.

I showed her where I wanted the back of my hair length and that I specifically wanted the side to grow to my chin. I said cut it exactly like it is currently cut. When she fininshed I had layers through out the sides of my hair. She knew I was very disappointed. I asked her why she cut layers and she said she thought they would look good. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueHad scheduled an appt with Frank, went in with hopes that they would at least be understanding to the fact that I hadn’t done my hair since covid began, didn’t even have a budget because it was my first salon visit and saved up money for it so I was willing to pay whatever it took. I left there extremely disappointed and practically humiliated. Frank looked at my hair and said he had to ask permission from his boss if he can proceed, lady with purple hair sitting down not even caring about wanting to help said he wouldn’t want him to risk his reputation to even try to help me. Meanwhile all other clients just listened to them publicly humiliate me. I kept my cool and said i would take my business elsewhere, not even an hour later I went to family owned business and they assisted me beautifully and had no problem fixing my dark roots and said I should file complaint and write a review because this is NOT how you treat customers. Neither Frank nor I guess boss lady with purple hair apologized for practically wasting my time or for humiliating me in front of others. People who love and appreciate their job will do whatever it takes to make customer happy and despite me constantly telling them that I would be happy with anything they recommend to fix my dark roots and they still said they didn’t want to even touch my hair and made disgusting faces. Maybe she should get off her chair from sitting too long and actually do her job. Don’t recommend this place at all and I hope no one ever goes through how I felt today. Rude manager. I was ignored even though I had an appointment because she wanted to cater to a winter Texan. She was obviously under the impression that the native south Texans can’t pay as much $$ as someone from out of town, right? The manager then tried to upcharge me an extra $7 for a $35 haircut. When I asked the manager what the name of my stylist was because I’d like to request her again, she couldn’t remember what her name was and had to check the computer to give me an answer even though she was standing less than 10 steps away from us and she could recognize who it was. Overall the haircut was great. America really knew what she was doing. I’ll come back because America is a great stylist. Management needs work though. Can’t really blame the manager for being the way she is because at the end of the day it is the valley after all *shrug*.
