Just got my hair done here. My stylist was Judy. She’s great!!! I love my hairdo. Awesome customer service, she listens to what you want and also offers her professional opinion to make your hair style work. The environment is welcoming here. And JCP salon offers a great deal of services from hair cuts & more to manies,petties, waxing etc. I highly recommended Judy and JCP Salon. All at great prices!

Extremely disappointed at the outcome. I should be suing the salon or the styist for what they did to my hair. The stylist, G., did a horrible job. She did the opposite of what I asked. I told her to dye my hair light brown (my hair was practically platimun) and not Dark… then I told her to give me a haircut and even provided her with a picture of the cut. But G. H. Decided to do her own thing or maybe she just didn’t know. My hair turned out dark and the haircut horrendous. My daughter described my hair like a “black mushroom”; it looks AWFUL! I had to call the manager because the stylist was doing/ did a horrible job. There was nothing the manager could do at this point but I was angry and crying and I needed someone else to finish the job. What’s worst is that G.H. let for her lunch all happy go lucky while the manager was there trying to fix her mistake, my poor horrendous hair. Now I have to go and look for another stylist to fix her mistake, but not at JcP. I don’t recommend it or at least get another stylist… I’m so angry, sad, and embarrassed… I look horrible because of the stylist incompetence. I would post pics, but I hate my hair right now.

I have gone to Jcpenney Salon in the past for a haircut. I went on Friday, 08-30-19 after I called to see if I could be taken as a “walk-in”. I went in and was assisted by associate by the name Carmen. She was explained how I wanted my haircut and showed her a picture of how I wanted. Since the beginning I really didn’t get the feeling she knew what she was doing because she asked another associate how she should cut my hair. They both started talking in their native language (I’m assuming Philippine) while I was sitting on the chair all ready to have my haircut. Carmen started cutting my hair and I saw that she was having a hard time knowing what angel to cut my hair, especially the front of my bangs. She was blow drying my hair in a manner I have never had my hair be blown dry at a salon, including Jcpenney, where I have gone before (both in McAllen and Brownsville Malls). I became so frustrared that after a while, I finally told her I would blow dry my hair in a different way because the way she was doing it, was leaving it messy and flat on the root of my hair (mind you, she didn’t even put on a heat treatment like biosilk prior to blow drying of even a after, which all other hairdressers do all the time). I finally started to try fixing my hair on my own and ended using her straightener in order to leave from there half descent. $30.00 plus dollars later I left and ended up fixing on my own my front bangs and some longer pieces she had left from the back of my hair. JUST A NOTE, I never was rude or disrespectful to the associated and just wondered how she even got her cosmetology license.

Needed a simple haircut (2 on top and 1/2 on sides) max 10 min haircut. I showed up @ 8:10pm and was told it was too late plus the available stylist had an appointment at 8:30. That’s more than enough time to cut my hair but I guess some people just want to get out earlier than their closing time, very disappointing.

After jumping around from barbershop to barbershop never really being satisfied, I have a scar on my head that makes hair difficult to cut., I walked into the salon at jcpenney not expecting much. Not only did I receive the best haircut I’ve ever gotten I also received excellent customer service. Definitely Recommend
