My daughter and I were visiting from Miami, Fl and went to have our hair done at the JCP salon. We did not know what to expect but couldn’t have had a better experience. It was such a welcoming atmosphere, the staff was like family within minutes upon meeting them. Kim was our stylist, she spent practically the whole day on us. We had color, highlights, trim, and brow dry done, she was amazing. Highly recommend this salon.

If I show up at 3pm, why was my hair not done until 5? I understand if the Salon was short-staffed but aren’t you supposed to service people in the order that they show up? 1 of the workers was just talking to 1 of the customers in the back and not helping out the other girls and my hairdresser kept putting people under the dryer and steamer because she had 3-4 girls at a time. It was ridiculous. My hair looked phenomenal but I wasn’t pleased with being serviced last, especially when I showed up before others.

I do NOT recommend this hair salon. If I could given zero stars I would. I received poor service, a terrible haircut, and no one could be bothered to listen much less help me. No one answered my calls to set an appointment. I finally decided to go in as a walk in. The “stylist “ did a horrible job. I asked for it to be full on top and tapered in the back. She asked a passing stylist how to get that effect in the back. Apparently she had no idea how to do that. Then she pushed my ear forward and down and asked me to hold it down while she cut around it. If she had used her teeth it would have had the same results. When I asked to speak to the salon manager she was too busy to come to the phone. Another young man offered to “fix it” but he was rather busy himself. I will never set foot in a JCPENNEY hair salon again.

Some of the stylist need to go back to basics on how to shampoo and style. My head was barely washed during my shampoo even though the stylist lathered 3, maybe 4 times. The washes were very short, like 20 secs (not exaggerating) for each lather. I told the stylist my problem area was my front edges so scratch really good. My dandruff was still very visible. I understand stylist are not responsible for treating dandruff but you still don’t let someone walk about with visible flakes when they have mild dandruff. It’s not like I have seborrheic dermatitis! A normal, thorough wash with 2 good lathers gets rid of them. After the styling was complete, I looked worse than when I walked in! Curls were not defined…just a wavy mess. The stylist talked my head off about all the wonderful work they’ve done with others people’s hair while making mine look like a child did it. The station was a mess & the brush used to blow dry my hair had the previous person’s hair matted in the brush. Was not worth the $45 paid. I will not mention names because they were a sweet person but a manager needs to be there to monitor cleanliness & stylist doing hair styles correctly.

My previous Stylist @ this JCP location was Ayana and she was very good with her hands as well as knowledgeable about caring for a variety of hair types. Although she was not considered to be a Master Stylist @ JCP. I was suprised once informed she was no longer with the company when I made my follow up appointment.

First time at JCpenny Salon. I got a silk press from Ayana. She did an amazing job. She was so professional so friendly and not to mention she did a great job on my hair!!! I don’t normally get my hair pressed but whenever I do I will always go to her at JC penny Salon. Everyone was friendly..staff and the receptionist were very professional and kind! Definitely coming back!!

I got a cut and color with Kim Flowers. My hair was damaged from a previous color at another salon and Kim made it look and feel so healthy. Best shampoo, cut and color I have had at a very reasonable price.

Went to get my hair color stripped professionally and safely, walked out with hair so brittle and burned it fell off when you touched it!! The stylist didn’t even seemed bothered by it. Just had an oh well attitude. I will have to cut off a lot of my already short hair just to be able to go out. Worst experience ever!!!

The only reason this salon is getting a two is because they were nice enough to see me right away. I told the stylist (forgot his name) that I wanted an all around trim and wanted the back evened out. The price started at $28. Ok. Then he said it was actually $32 because he’s a master stylist. Ok. Then the price went up $10 because a trim is a half inch, and I was getting over an inch cut off in the back to even it. At that point, I just wanted to get it over with and get out. He evened out the back with a straight across cut and barely did much else as far as trimming and blending it in. Not a master stylist and won’t be going back.
