Worst hair appointment experience I ever had! I had Leanne. The color was supposed to be light brown with caramel highlights. She didn’t know how to foil, was super slow, turned it bright red. After that turned it too dark. She charged me $145 & that was without a cut ! All of that took 3 1/2 hours.

Made an online appointment for 2:45 for my 1 year old and I to get haircuts. Didn’t get seen until after 3. Chantel did a good job on my son’s hair but when it came time to do mine her boyfriend was waiting for her to be done, I showed her what I wanted (a simple bob cut) she didn’t feel “comfortable” doing it. Said I could wait 15 or 20 minutes for another stylist to cut it but I declined. Ended up pretty disappointed and I won’t be returning.

Some details about me before we start, I am a short haired girl with an undercut that is only there because my hair is super thick. My hair had dead ends for me dying it blue earlier this summer. So I walk in, and I’m being treated well by the girl behind the counter. I scheduled my appointment and when the time came, I checked in and everything was going well with the hair stylist at the time. At first, I thought she was so devoted to her job, that she wanted to make sure I had the best experience with my hair cut. She asked me since I had not been there in years, and I never had her, to pick out something for her to reference with my own personal adjustments. Going on Pinterest, I picked out an undercut that I wanted to mock but, I wanted to leave the rest of it long enough to cover the shave itself. I told her this and she agreed. She said that she was going to go ahead and do the undercut and then shampoo my hair so it was easy to cut. Not thinking much of it at the time, I nodded and waited. Mind you, the mall was deserted and I was the only other person in there besides her so, I asked her about how she got devoted into hair and then which her response was very rude saying that she and her response was very rude saying that she believe that if you were to go to college you really had to like it enough to do it for your life. I was just curious in what sparked her interest- not advice since I am an AP student. Now not really wanting to talk, I waited for the shave to be over and to be moved into the shampoo room. Though, this didn’t happen, instead, she said that she was going to go ahead and cut the dead ends that I had from dying my hair previously. Again, I didn’t think much of it, so I waited for her to cut those ends off and to be moved again. At this point I’ve been sitting in that chair for an hour. All of a sudden, she came to my face and chopped off most of my bangs. (I told her I wanted to trim it just below the brow not above them.) Of course now, It’s too late and I let the rest happen. She decided to go against what I asked and copied the reference picture, but importantly, without the fade to keep it separate from a 3rd grader’s bowl cut. Not only do my sides and back of my head look like Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber now but, I was so livid with how I was treated the entire time. It was like I was a caveman in a room with Albert Einstein. Finally after the cut was over, she took me to (finally) shampoo my hair then proceeded to drag me back to the chair for a demo with a (highly priced) styling product in which, she wanted me to buy because it had, “a good smell and strong hold.” Sorry honey but, I use a good enough staying product that sticks in and easy to wash out. I watched her as she played with a large amount of this product. (It took ten minutes to get it out of my hair. Basically I had to comb it out. ) She then made her final remark in which I am going to quote exactly, “It’s Frankenstein-y, I think it’s a cool cut.” Like that would make me feel ANY better. I went home in such a rage that I eventually cried over it for a few hours. Not only did I have school the next day, but I looked like Frankenstein’s Monster’s blue haired cousin. In order to conclude this horrible experience, I will NEVER go back to JCPenny’s salons. Actually, I will NEVER trust a mall haircut again.

Went there for cut, eyebrows waxed and color. Told stylist that I didn’t want just a dull color that I have had lowlights before and it breaks it up. She told me it must have been highlights I had before. She checked the main color with the color charts but I should have know something was up when she didn’t check the for the highlight colors with the color chart.

I spent 4 1/2 hours to look worse than when I went in. The young lady did not listen to anything I told her. Then, tried to charge me $105.00. I told them I would give them 30.00 for product and nothing more! They said they would accept it but I had to be put on a no return policy. I told them “do you think I would actually ever come back to this place again? You have got to be kidding I would never think of returning here.
