I’ve brought my daughter here THREE times and every time there’s a reason they cannot do it!! I will NEVER come here for a hair service! I went in on a Saturday and by Monday morning my manicure had chipped off. I called to see if I could get them redone at no charge but was told the nail tech wouldn’t be in until the weekend, so I’d have to wait. I couldn’t wait until the weekend to get them redone, and explained that but the woman on the phone just kept saying “well…” as if that would fix the problem. Will never go back to their salon, and I certainly don’t recommend it. I paid $27 for a manicure that lasted 24 hours.

Robin is great. Actually, every time I’ve gone there the stylist is great. Also- this place provides health insurance for their stylists which is very unusual for this industry. I’m happy to spend my money at this company.

Giving this salon a 1 star is better than they deserve. I was so upset I walked out even aftet I was sitting in the stylist chair. I would like that hair stylist and her manager to know they lost out on the money for the service I asked for. I went to another salon the next day and received great service and my hair turned out terrific. Dori at Jc Penny told me that my hair would turn out horrible and she didn’t want to do it without signing release. Ms. Dori you were wrong and you cost you and your company a loss of money just cause you were tired and didn’t want to work. I will never go to JC Penny Salon in Alton again. The lady that checked me in that night also needs a attitude adjustment. This salon is hardly busy you think they would want all the business they could get but it’s just the opposite. They must make more money sitting than actually working. I’m not sure why they made upgrades they should just close the doors.
