Was on vacation and came in for a walk in appointment, I honestly did not know what to expect. I ended up getting my hair cut by David. Showed him a picture and he asked me about every little detail, even make recommendations on things I wasn’t sure about. We had a great conversation, while he took his time cutting my hair.

I specifically told the woman that I was growing my hair out and wanted long curtain bangs, she asked me where I wanted them to lay and I told her just above my chin. she sectioned off my hair and cut at my nose using the method where you twist the hair. instead of long pretty face framing bangs I got short choppy ones. I am currently crying, 10/10 would not reccomend very unprofessional techniques

I took my daughter to this salon because I used to go here all the time when I was in college and they’re generally cordial and easy to get into on the same day. My daughter is 4 and had her heart set on a pixie cut. We scrolled through a ton of photos the night before on google of cuts with different lengths and she kept insisting on the short pixie cuts. When I brought her to her appointment the stylist was shocked at her choice and kept asking her if she was sure, holding her hair behind her head to make sure she was going to like having it all gone and basically wore her down to the point where she almost started crying and didn’t want to get her hair done anymore. She ended up staying and getting a chin-length cut that looked very cute but afterward she mentioned she did hope to go shorter. The hairstylist afterward said “see? Isn’t that much better than what you came for?” and went around to other stylists loudly laughing at the idea that my daughter wanted her hair so short and how she was glad she convinced her otherwise.

I brought my daughter in for a super short cut with a hard part. She has a lot of cowlicks and stylists are usually hesitant to cut so short for a young girl for some reason. They did not hesitate at all, which was appreciated, and took a lot of extra care to make the cowlicks blend with the style she wanted. They also offer free neck trims, which is nice, since she likes to let the top grow out for a while to play with color. Walk ins are welcome and they are open until 6 on Sunday instead of 3 or 4… in Duluth… rare for a salon around here, lol! (We do miss seeing Helen Millen here though. Love ya Helen!)

My wife set up an appointment at 930 to be seen by this organization. They instead refused to service her due to the fact that the store did not open up until 10am. We traveled a half hour to attend this appointment. They offered an alternate appointment hours later. They lost two clients today.
