This is my go to place to have my hair color, cut, style and more. I have been growing my hair so it has been a while i had a hair cut but i went here to get a blowout and a small braid plus curls. It was easy to get an appointment. Convenient location as it is inside JCPenney in the Dayton Mall. I say the quality of service really depends on the stylist. I dont have a specific stylist as most of the time, i am very spontaneous and book last minute appointments so I take whoever is available. For my last service, I love it, I got a lot of compliments for my hair style and my stylist really took her time to make sure I get the style i need. I will be back for sure!

In the past I have gotten my hair cut here but never has it been this bad. I showed the stylist the stock photo and asked if I could have my hair like that. I also booked my appointment as a haircut and style, yet my hair was never washed nor styled. My hair was simply wet with a spray bottle and I left the salon with it wet. I didn’t have time to fully examine my haircut as I had work right after. And even so, why should I have to doubt the stylist? Shouldn’t it be correct? That’s the whole reason I go to a “professional” stylist!

She didn’t make me feel stupid for my mistakes nor did she try and cut it all off. She made sure I got a desirable length and gave me great advice to get my hair back to good health. Not only was she amazing at her job but she also carried great conversation and made sure I was taken care of while at her booth. I didn’t feel like I was just a client, but like I was just hanging out getting my hair done with a good friend. I would 100% recommend asking for Paige when you go in. She didn’t make me feel stupid for my mistakes nor did she try and cut it all off. She made sure I got a desirable length and gave me great advice to get my hair back to good health. I was shocked to see any bad reviews on here but they are mostly old and maybe there was a management change. I chanced upon Audrey in an hour of desperate need because they took walk-ins. My color was amazing, cut was exactly as I asked. I wanted shorter bangs and thankfully she talked me out of it. Terri has also done my hair twice and I have loved it every time. Half the price of my old salon and same quality… I’ll never go anywhere else again!

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon! I asked for a simple wash and flat iron, I was charged $50 and my hair looked awful. The lady who did my bad clearly had very little experience, it took her over 2 hours to do a wash and flat iron and I have short hair! When I left my hair was so oily and weighed down, I ended up going home to rewash and style it myself. I will never go to this JCPenny’s again!!!!!! Do yourself a favor and find a different salon.

I’m not the kind of the person who leaves bad reviews but I had a very bad experience. I asked for my hair to be trimmed and to just make it more neat. The hair stulyst Rick didn’t even hand me a mirror to see the back of my head. After I left I realized how bad the hair cut was . It looked like he gave me a bowl cut…. So I went back to get it fixed but now its worst than before . There’s a section in the back that looks like it has a chunk missing and I still have a bowl cut. I didn’t want to cause a scene or anything so I left but I plan on following up with the manager.
